  not much to do here in togo.

  LOL,

  It looks like Octavia is leaving out some vital details. After my involvement with the child abuse case, my faith and hope's were dashed. I just couldn't follow direction from the WT. My trust in the organization was gone. Depression set in and, plus found out that my now wife (now ex), was doing things behind my back, that I will not mention here. We seperated twice and we setting things in motion for divorce. I was left with my two daughters and was lost with no belief in any system anymore. Octavia and I found each other, before the Society felt is was time. But I had no more hope's in the WT anymore anyway and didn't care.....then got promptly df'd

  Any Art Lovers?

  this may not be a topic that is discussed often, but here something new to talk about.

  how many of you are into art?

  i am a designer by trade, but also have a second business as an artist.

  I have been getting some interesting responses on my work. Mostly good ones. But some of you are wondering how I could pull this off as an elder? Didn't God create the human form? To say it's bad or not appropriate is to say that we are having a different opinion that may rise above Him. God did a wonderful job on creating the man and woman, and it's like his other creation, as sight to be appreciated. Should we start clothing the animal kingdom as well?

  But the WT, as always has an opinion about everything. But there was never an article that I could find that would be supported in the Bible on this subject. Yet many followed blindly what was being fed to them. And that was their mistake for missing out on something that the Creator gave us to appreciate. My whole family loved the art that I did. Even my kids had some favorite ones. The one thing I don't do, are the poses that are displayed in adult magazines. So there is a line that I will not cross.

  Mind you also, that I am not from this country. I was born in the Netherlands and raised in the Caribbean. So my upbringing and perspective is quite different than people in the US or elsewhere. Nevertheless, it is only bad if you make it bad. There are many artists from of old that portrayed the human figure in the nude, and even the WT, appreciates this art.

  So how was I still an elder while I was creating art? Many knew of my talents and several commisioned me to do either their wife, or together as a couple. Granted, due to the circumstances, I asked them, in behalf of others to be confidential about this, so as not to stumble some of the older ones. But I have done large pieces for individuals, to be displayed in their bedroom. I also have done sculpture in bronze and silver with the same themes.

  What I found ironic, is that many in the congregation, subscribed to Victoria's Secret magazine, or Frederick's of Hollywood, and yet had a frown concerning my work. However I did not post my online galleries, until just before my df'ing. But I had quite a collection, that needed to be displayed publicly. I have been doing this all my life. And I was actually encouraged by several sisters to go online with my work.

  But I had thought about that regardless of their prompting me. So here you have it. Enjoy !

  others have been so bold as to have risen up to question the slave as it faithfully dispenses food in due season.

  Sounds like we have another "LURKER". Mr You_Know follower of the Bible and WT. Don't You_Know that you are not supposed to be hanging around here talking to postates? Don't You_Know that you cannot have God's spirit, if you talk to us 'demon possed' people, while you say your prayers in front of the congregation?

  So now you are going to do the announcements in front of your congregation, pretending that you are God's gift to mankind. And secretly sneak out after the meeting to make some You_Know what comments on this board, while your congregation members think you are doing some WT research.

  Stick around if you please, and make your You_Know what comments, you may actually learn something that is an eye opener. Unless you would like to be an elder soon, and than you will have to cover up another child abuse case. As you will be so directed by the Society.

  And than you will have You_Know whose blood on your hands.

  I have tons of PC games, But I have a question for you all..........................

  I don't have Play Station, X box or Game Cube. Which out of the three, do you people recommend if you had a choice? I am interested in getting one or the other. I want some good graphics and some smooth visuals. I am not too much into hack-em up, blood and gore games. But I like role playing games.

  How much do the elders lie when the Overseer visits the Cong?

  the other day when the overseer was over, he started talking about how good the cong was and how it was the best as far as publishers.

  he mentioned that we only had 0 irregular, and 0 inactive publishers.

  Seems like people had a fear of the CO. They were only there when he was visiting, and the halls were packed out. And the numbers looked good. Even the bible students were invited to come and see the show. The next meeting after he was gone there were hardly any in attendance. Even the elders needed time off. I was called so many times, if I could handle their part on the meeting, since the others had to 'leave' town for some reason.

  Remember traveling to the conventions

  i remember years ago when my mom and i would travel great distances to the week long conventions.

  we always had to travel with another sister whos husband was also "unbelieving".

  anyway, her daughter and i would put the watchtower and awake mags in the back window to show everyone who we were.

  I remember the eight day conventions. The last one I went to was at Yankee Stadium. Don't remember the year, I was a little fella. All I remember is the billions of people, soup kitchens, rain, people in the hallways sleeping, mothers breast feeding the little ones. And way down below a brother giving a talk, that I could not understand, since the sound system was sucky. The echo and feedback were horrible.
