i remember so many names fondly, and not the regular names most people name off every day like george or robert, etc, but strange sounding ones: .
skully, puternut, seven006, teh, richie rich, bigdog, dragonlady, jenniebeans, valis, prophecor, little toe, james thomas, sassy, defd, slipnslidemaster, alanf, brenda clouter (ok, that ones normal), hadenuff, buttlight, schne belly, stickypantz, p2k, incence and peppermints, whyamihere, devinsmom, harleyquinn, es, simon, eyegirl, joannadandy,i could go on all night, but the point is these people were in what i think i will call my school of real life graduating class.

I miss the old crew also, but I don't visit here too often. There are many that have left the board, I do still visit the board at times but there seems to be a 'turnover' every so many years. Glad you remembered me, I hope all is well with you these days.

i have a question that not many people would understand.
i have faith that despite how crazy it sounds, most on this board will probably know what i am talking about though.

though hopeful to some, a shruck of the shoulder to others, the news is that most ex witnesses and many others are working hard to expose the watchtower society for their falsehoods and secrecies.
There is much news to report. It's hopefull when we hear about the news that Barbara is bringing forward. Though hopeful to some, a shruck of the shoulder to others, the news is that most ex witnesses and many others are working hard to expose the watchtower society for their falsehoods and secrecies. A dent is being made in the work we have to do.
We must also give thought to those who are working hard in behalf of the children who are continued to be molested. I also encourage all of us here to support the Silent Lambs just the same. Though some of the progress is slow, we simply don't give up. Combined we all can make a dent to expose the former organization.
At the same time I wish to give thought to remember that, though we may be angry at what we individuallyexperienced at the hands of that organization. We should really show empathy for those who are still left in. Some of us still have family members, friends or loved ones left there. And we simply can't be too overly angry at those who are not responding to our efforts to help them. We were in that organization once, and can remember how we felt toward outsiders, no matter what capacity we served in. So I hope we can show a measure of empathy and patience, along with endurance.
It is with kindness, persistance and compassion that we will make progress. Be prepared to receive them with open arms real soon.

No, it doesn't matter what we were labeled, and having been out for some time now, I am appreciating the equality among all humans. No one is greater or better, once we learn acceptance of the divine within each of us and can express unconditional love for anyone, we can have peace of heart.

Thanks for the words of wisdom. I appreciate that I need to be general, rather than specific, and even careful at that. It was something that went through my head, since I do want to be honest and open. And I can also appreciate that these matters take time. I have been told before, I wear my heart on my sleeve. Transition time is in order.

In meeting new people for a possible meaningful relationship, how much is wise to reveal about our past experience with the borg?
When I came out of the borg, I was in a relationship with an ex-witness, and felt understood. Now that our ways have seperated after two years, I wish to move on with life and persue a meaningful relationship with someone again. But with all the 'new' concepts, beliefs, or theories at times things get triggered in me that remind me of the borg. Not knowing who or what god is or what his purpose is for me, I find myself often not having all the answers to the 'new' meaning of life. And I don't want to hang on to old beliefs systems. At the same time I don't want to leave an impression that I might be suffering from the effects of the borg.
I am open to new idea's and concepts, but sometimes I am unsure how to fit in with someone who has their own beliefs. Since I don't know what to believe at this time, I need to protect my heart. I don't judge anyone for what is dear to them, and hope they in return they will do the same. But at times these discussion come up, so how much religion, or politics is wise to discuss without sounding like a total nut-case?
I hope my question makes sense.
For those of you who have been succesful at this.... I am all ears.

Not only does 'HE' tempt the first innocent couple, but makes no real effort to clean up a mess that basically started in the 'heavens'. And makes humans responsible for cleaning up his own mess. He simply ousts the trouble where he lives and transports that to the earth (evidently his garbage can)
Adam, though created in 'god's' image is not blessed with the gift of writing either. Not even Noah who constructed an ark with precise calculations is unable to write about his own events. It is not until centuries later that Moses is given this assignment.
He now appoints judges, kings, and prophets and simply declares war on all the other nations. Plunder, rape, and mayhem is now allowed by the offspring of 'innocent' people. But neither his Son or any other 'assigned' people are able to clean up this creators mess.
New laws such as; no masturbation or oral sex are allowed. But child molestation is something we have to 'wait' on him for?
Elders who are 'appointed', are responsible for keeping everything clean, but when they do they stab you in the back with their 'spiritual knife', and label you as apostate.
So, how is it that are we to serve this god. I am very confused.

i remember many years ago, men here in quebec all wore tiny speedo bathing suits.
our summers are so short, and it seemed normal to want a small bathing suit so as to tan the most possible.
when i went to beaches in the us, i noticed that most americans didn't wear such tiny bathing suits.
The beaches I visit don't require a bathing suit.
