there was a thread a while back on here requesting a so cali fest and we said we would look into it.. we are putting out the june 25 (party at my place) and june 26 (party at simplesally's) to see how many would be interested...

Would you have left sooner?

if you were still in the jw religion and wanted out, and an opportunity was presented to you to leave everything behind and escape your jw life, would you have taken it?.

when i was 15, my brother had mentioned that i could come and live with him at age 16 if i wanted to, away from the jw religion, away from my parents.

i was seriously considering it, but it never happened.

No I wouldn't have. I wanted to make sure I had all the facts straight. I was hearing a lot of things, but needed to be sure before I made my decision. The timing wasn't right. I wanted to know that I gave it my all, and there were no doubts.

I have done my time in the borg, and it was an experience from which I learned, where not to be.

i'm sorry i just had to post this.

i'm sitting reading all the post on the tv shows and movies we weren't allowed to watch.

i am now completely hysterical laughing out loud at how insane this all was.

my world is crashing down on all sides around me.

do you know that feeling where you look around and panic just grabs you by the throat.

nothing seems to make sense anymore, nothing gives you happiness.

I can appreciate what you are feeling. It takes a while to be happy. But I think happiness is relative. It's an inner contentment with the things we DO have. Granted we're all looking for true happiness, but I don't know if anyone in this world really is. It is a matter of appreciating the things you have now. Health, friends, your surroundings. Do things for yourself, that YOU like to do. Don't let other people, tell you where happiness is, or how you should live your life. We make our own happiness.............
