  Was Paul epileptic?

  i watched a discovery channel program on paul yesterday.

  it showed that paul was epileptic due to certain descriptions regarding his health in the scriptures.

  also he displayed symptons which is a feeling of superiorty, dismissing all views except your own.

  Patriotism And All That..

  i've noticed that ex dubbies tend to become quite patriotic once they've left the witnesses.

  actually, scrub the patriotic, i mean very patriotic!.

  it's odd really..we don't give much credence to king or country whilst we're in the dubby brigade, yet once we're out, we seem to become a bunch of flag waving scallywags with the best of them.. i wonder if we're using patriotism as a replacement for the loss of a controlling influence that we feel when we leave the witnesses?

  he was hawking his new book, "on bull$h*t", and i found him both provocative and entertaining.

  Interesting.

  I'll say lying is worse, simply because it is a deliberate attempt to influence and deceive. It may work and do it's damage, before the facts become evident, if ever.

  BS, is sometimes a little easier to see, therefore easier to be on guard.

  They are both bad...just in different ways.

  As others mentioned...there is a "void" in our lives after JWism leaves it. I've seen some get very interested in a 'new' religion, for myself I cannot forsee EVER being interested in organized religion, but, I never say...never ! I try to keep an open mind after living such a sheltered and somewhat naive life.

  Some get into politics as fervently as they did as a JW...whatever piece of dirt they happen to live on, they feel the need to defend their patch against any and all criticism with a 'nationalism' type fervor..."My country...right or wrong." They naturally feel superior and need to rub any mistakes (real or imagined) of other folks governments into all the citizens faces, ad nauseum.

  I am involved in politics now for the first time, I voted in the general elections last year, I feel empowered. I also know...I don't know ...too much about it. I listened and heard things in the past, but, I never looked as closely, because "I was no part of the world." Things have changed and I tend to listen and observe a lot before taking a stand on something. I don't like making hasty uninformed decisions...especially if I feel like I am just 'flowing along with the current' of people around me. I hope I will always be somewhat resistant to that urge to be a "sheep" again or flotsam...carried by the wind and waves.

  Nationalism is a very, very dangerous animal. It stifles the free flow of ideas across a country and the world.

  since he was formerly disfellowshipped, this means he has since been reinstated.

  Body Hair - Lowering the tone once again

  hi all, having just had a long shower while contemplating my navel (no further details will be revealed) i got to thinking about body hair.

  since i'm at that awkward stage in life when hair on my head is reallocating itself to my nose and ears - i just wondered whether your hair recedes on any other parts of your body as you get older!

  Epileptic rabbit here !

  Everyone KNOWS people who have epilepsy are just normal folks...well, normal as you can be with a demon inside you. If you remember...all of the people who had a demon that had to be 'exorcised'...had symptoms exactly like epileptic seizures !

  So-o, Paul would have had to have his demonz epilepsy cured before becoming a good Christian. Witches...remember all the 'witches' that were burned alive or drowned ? A lot of them had seizure symptoms ...that is all it took to get accused.

  Here is a 'fun fact': Back then...it was believed a 'witch' could NOT be drowned. So-o...they would lower the accused into the water for 20 minutes or so, IF the person was alive after all that time...guess what? They were 'witches'. You guessed it...if they were d e a d they were innocent !

  Tough court !

  We are still stereo-typed today. And we are only superior to the rest of you insignificant little people...because we have "Billy Bad Ass Demonz" to help us ! So...there !
