My, my, my...apparently they "rub elbows" with not only governments, NGO's , PAC's, but, many other religious groups, too. I noticed Muslim, Mormon, Catholic and many, many others.

Personally, I think they are doing a good thing by reaching out and embracing the real world.

Of course there is that pesky little problem of, ummmm...hypocrisy ?

Btw, did anyone notice all the telephone #'s, addresses, names and e-mail addressesof our former taskmasters...that just fell into the hands of the largest Ex-JW discussion board ? And Wow ! They came from a worldly org, that our former org belongs to ! Hmmm...I wonder. I have this idea forming...now it's on the tip of my tongue...

Hambeaks Extremely Heartbreaking News

our friend hambeak just got the most dreaded phone call from his jw child.

the news was passed on as he was asked for by name and not as"dad" and let known that "they" just called to let him know that his other son, brian, age 26, is dead.

he was in a car accident.

That is a nightmare that all parents have had. To deliberately pile more hurt and pain on top of that agony by delivering the bad news so...coldly...because of a difference of religious beliefs is just so wrong, so tragic.

It's one of my nightmares I hope never visits me in my real life.

I am so sorry for him -- and his family.

Transgender - A Case of Tested Friendship

friendship comes in all stages, shapes, and sizes, from the very close, as brothers, built over a lifetime, to the budding kind that has only a few months or a year or two.

i have been friends with sam (fictious name) for about seven years.

we are not real close friends, but have a good quality relationship that is mostly confined to the office.. recently, sam told me that he had an issue with a female agent who tried to get him fired.

What is your view? Do you see Transgenders as acting wickedly, mentally ill, or simply trying to correct a disconnect between their mind, heart, and body?

Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transgendered...and even heterosexuals are allowed, in my post Jehovah's Witness mind, to decide for themselves what 'label' describes their personal knowledge of themselves.

I cannot imagine deciding 'which' sexuality is 'right' for someone else, but, yet...I once did just that very thing!

WTF was I thinking ? It never was any of my business.

Apology to all

this is an apology to all for my recent posts, i did'nt mean to upset anyone .

just coping with leaving the org ,and the past ,and trying to support my wife who, as some know from my prevoius posts has tried to deal with her pedophile elder(past) father for many years now thru the org ,and then being badly treated by them and her large extended family (most are witnesses and are trying to silence her), made me hit rock bottom.

we are now taking action via the police and court system and she is barely coping ,and me being bi-polar does'nt help matters much and i fell into to an unreal state for a while as we don't have much support of any kind.

I have a daughter who suffers with bi-polar and being a dub at the same time. She has some real difficulties dealing with both of those issues at the same time.

But, she is showing good signs of slowly moving away from the dub part. She gets pulled back at times with all the fear mongering from her JW relatives and the 'timely' scary WT articles. She is getting stable on meds and now, if she can ever stay away long enough from the dubs, I think she get over that, too.

It's rough. Hang in there and never surrender !

I think that God is manmade, like all the other Gods.
I do believe there must be some kind of creator, although my mind does not fully grasp it, just as my mind does not fully grasp, everything evolving from one atom.

"God is manmade," wow ! That sure puts the shoe on the other guy's foot, doesn't it ?

I've heard it put a lot of different ways...how man invented the idea of a god to explain the world around them. But, I think the way purplesofa put it is -- perfect.

i am begining to think it is more when, than if now.

i think if it isn't over the removal of the bush.

then those 30% of people that never wanted him to leave will try to either force thier neo-conservative agenda (facist borderline nazi) or suceed the union (again it's mainly the same people in those idiot southern states that want him to stay)(by the way yes i'm in one of them and yes they are idiots and so am i).

I think civil war in the US is just as likely as Armageddon happening in my lifetime.

Here's the thing, Americans are so complacent, lazy and unconconcerned about politics that only 30% of the registered voters even bother to show up at the polls to change the way our govt. works.

What a lousy civil war THAT would be if only a 1/3 showed up ?

2nd, where would the ones who want to fight -- show up ? America is far too homogenized to have a geographical civil war. It's not like it was back in 1850 and it's not like the religiously segregated areas of Iraq.

3rd...remember, too, there will probably be something good on TV that night (if it happens) and your war just won't fit in to the time slots.

Ask yourself why you don't DESERVE kindness. If God says you don't DESERVE something and he gives it to you anyway...who is conflicted here?? Who is breaking their own moral code? Who is violating what justice is all about? In short, it makes no frickin' sense! It would be like pardoning a criminal just to be nice. "Okay Muggsie, you can go now. We know you murdered a cop, but; we're giving you a break because...umm...well, we're just very nice!"

God didn't kill Adam and Eve even though he promised he would. He let them breed, for heaven's sakes!
