  children below 15 to get blood infusion even if parents object friday, february 29, 2008 at 06:49 est tokyo a joint panel of japan's five medical societies on thursday said that children under 15 who require blood transfusions should be given them, even if this means going against the wishes of their parents, such as jehovah's witnesses, who object to such treatment on account of their religious beliefs.

  releasing guidelines on the issue in a press conference, the panel headed by fukushima medical university professor hitoshi oto said children under 15 should be socially protected, drawing a line at the age from which a person's competency to make a will is recognized under the commercial code.

  "the guidelines will help facilitate the decision-making and choice of socially appropriate treatment by medical institutions," oto said.

  This is good news. I'm wondering, since this is a new law, perhaps there was a study done about just how many children & adults were dying over this issue ?

  God warns us in Leviticus 11:26 not to even touch the carcass of a pig. But, he had also already given us "all" the animals to eat. This is very Watchtowerish, if you ask me.

  I like my ham & eggs. There's nothing better than those big pork & beef German sausages or bacon-wrapped unclean scallops or shrimp. But, really...sometimes, I get so tired of the hamo's agenda being crammed down my throat, as it were. There are others out there that need to be eaten, too.

  Leviticus 11:6 states that even yours truly, Mr. Rabbit, is unclean. Why is this? I bathe. I wash behind my big ears. I was born this way. Why is it 'wrong' to eat me? Luckily, some in our enlightened age no longer listen to those old words that were scrawled on sheepskin & papyrus by goat-herders we don't know.

  I support the hamosexual's, but they should try to accept rabbitylingus, too. It's perfectly, deliciously natural.

  leaving the society was scary at first but i had to make myself grin and bear it.

  i have renewed my relationship with christ and i am looking foward to his wonderful blessings in my future.

  now that i am finally worshipping him in spirit and truth and i have the hope of going to heaven someday.

  Yes...I found Jesus. I found him lacking.

  Jesus seemed to be a good man, but, he approves of the psycho father 'god' figure the Bible describes. He admires that murderous maniac. And, according to that old papyrus book, Jesus, the 'nice guy' will come back, (Revelation) after spending some quality time with his crazy Dad-god and gleefully hack to death billions of his own creation with that sword of his.

  It must be in their genes. You know...the love of blood-letting.

  That's just crazy. My sense of justice is a lot better than that. So is a mere child's ideas of justice.

  when i read stuff like this, the use of rape against women & children, as a weapon...i cannot help, but think of the bible god i used to worship.

  i was an apologist.

  whenever i read those disturbing bible (holy) passages, in my faithful past, where my god ordered or gave his express permission to rape the 'enemies' babies, young girls and women...i got sick.. look at god's beloved, faithful servant lot.

  SnowbirdActually, this account simply shows how the nations of Moab and Ammon came to be. The Messiah didn't come thru either of those nations.

  I stand corrected. It's been a while since I've studied. I know Jehovah was still proud of his 'faithful servant' and blessed him, despite his incest. Yeck!

  ForscherRemember that Lot's daughters had to get him blind drunk to have sex with him. That ought to tell you where Lot really stood on the issue of incest.

  I've done that, too.

  It always bothered me when I was a JW, they kept saying being "sheep-like" was a good thing. We had some sheep growing up...I never thought of them as very smart. I mean, they are very easily lead-to-slaughter. Or, over a cliff.

  I remember a news story where several hundred sheep were killed by a lightening strike. It seems there was one tree in this vast field, big enough for just a couple of sheep. All the others crowded around those two -- all were killed.

  After I finally left the WT's influence, I realized why they want "sheep-like" people as members. They are much easier to control.
