that's between 500 and 1700 children a day, depending on what numbers you accept.
still, no matter which numbers you use, doesn't this make you arrive at one of the following conclusions?.

Adam was never, ever the All Powerful, supposedly "God" is tho'. Adam was simply told he would die "that day", that was a lie by God. Adam & Eve should have never lived another day in order to pass on defective DNA to me and my wife and give us cancer. I won't worship any god like that.
And, if somehow I had a "choice" and could "fix things" I would choose non-existance...if it could reverse all the Biblical human tragedies.

I HATE being the LAST poster on a thread, 'cause it makes me feel weird, but...I hope I'm last this time. I did read only the first 5 pages. It seems that every view was expressed, except mine, although SizeMik touched on it: "...only ONE man made that choice..." (close)
IF...a god exists, IF it's the Biblical one and IF the story of Adam & Eve is true...then, God himself is responsible for my suffering and yours! How?
We are supposed to emulate God, in ways that we can -- such as justice, empathy, Love...right ? Then, how is it justice for ME or YOU or the BILLIONS of people who have lived, died, suffered from disease, wars, volcanoes, tsunami's...? It was not their fault, it's not MY fault that some "petty crime" people thousands of years ago (bible) committed.

Wonderful news about Ali....and something to warm your heart
by coffee_black inas i have posted, my daughter ali has been in the cardiac intensive care unit since thursday.
her bp, heartrate and blood sugar went sky high, due to horrible coughing spells from a chest cold that left her gasping for air.. she has congestive heart failure, and has been treated for almost a year now.
she has improved over that year, but this was a real setback.. ali called me today with amazing news.

I've lurked a long time: JW's produce some of the most paranoid humans
by Unlearn ini'll keep this brief for now.. long time lurker (4 years or so).. born-in, elder, used on district level (last talk i gave before i left was the baptisimal talk), and lots of hard time put in...before i finally made the move to split.
it's a long stoy, much like many of yours...but with it's own little interesting twists.
more details in the future, perhaps.. as i said, ive lurked here for a while.. its funny: for a long time i'd only come on late at night.

I thought some of the same paranoid things you did before joining here. But, nothing happened. Not even a 'Star Gate' type demon jumping out of the computer screen into my face.
I've been out over a decade now...guess what I just UnLearn -ed ? JW's came to our door a few days ago and *I* went out and talked to them. They were pretty surprised to find an Ex-JW here after all these years. I stopped being afraid. I'm already being shunned, family broken up, except for making it 'official', I'm already DF'd. What more can they take from me...?
Then, came the questions: Why did you stop...going, etc? I answered them about my mom dying -- no blood transfusion -- that led into a very interesting discussion.
They Learn -ed a lot.

Still Wondering, you have my condolences and understanding, too. I am so sorry your sister is yet another victim of this issue.
My JW mom's belief in the WT Gods murdered/sacrificed her at their alter - a decade ago. Like your letter to her (I assume) shows...the WTS "spirit-directed" Governing Body isn't consistent. Either they are wrong or their god gets 'it' wrong... scared, innocent, confused, good people die, then there will be another flip-flop. The scared -- blow which-ever way the WT does.
Shortly after my mom died -- hemoglobin became "a conscience matter". She just needed that precious oxygen. Red Blood cells or hemoglobin - 98% of a red blood cell when you take it out of the bag (cellular membrane). Sadly, it's 'OK' to take the 'bag'.
We never got a "Thank you for your Sacrifice" or "Sorry, We got the NEWLIGHT late..." card.
I am so sorry...
