Best thing about that movie was the sword fighting choreography. For a silly family/comedy the fencing was incredible.

Yeah, totally forgot that one. I really didn't like rap before ghostdog. That was good rap though. Definately a classic. Can be watched time and time again. The Professional is another that should be on the list. Natalie Portman aced her role.
the 1980's was certainly a strange time for rock groups, and musical development.
lots of techno, beginnings of alternative , and some rock n' roll groups trying to push along.

Hmm, hard to pinpoint 80's. I remember Police playing in an E Denver suburb in '78, '79? Roxanne was just starting to get airplay.
U2 was one of the Irish bands to go far, my favourite was "October".
REM did Murmur (mumble) about then. (I could live a million years all in one, all in one)

Hmm...Bob Marley? I think he wrote Redemption song about then. One of the best Anthem songs of all times. As I work away around my house wearing Teva sandals, Eddie Bauer denim shorts, shirtless, long hair blowing in the gentle Sacramento Delta breezes I think "I wonder where those Jehovah's Witnesses are? They haven't been in this neighborhood for 9 months or so. Well good for them, maybe they finally realized there is more to life than harassing their neighbors with the same tired old drivel." (then I shudder remembering I once used to waste my life away doing that exact same thing)

In the paper, Professor Lynn - who has previously caused controversy with research linking intelligence to race and sex - says evidence points to lower proportions of people holding religious beliefs among "intellectual elites".
Researchers are just like anyone else. Some are reputable and some aren't. Some just want press, or perhaps their latest paper noticed or published. Might even be grant money somewhere he's chasing.

I didn't mean to sound harsh when describing Reggie. I always thought he would have been a great beatnik. I could so see Reg spouting philosophy and obscure poetry in some coffeehouse somewhere. He missed his calling in life is all. He should have been an anointed member of the beat generation.

my wife and i were both raised in the organization and it is still a difficult journey for us.
her family is still active and that makes it tough for us to go quietly.

i just did by adding "new things.
I am currently on the University of The Internet. If some topic interests me, I type it into Professor Google and get a bunch of material on it.
I like just wandering through that University at random, like being at a Carnival looking for a good ride. If I find a ride that might have promise, I hop on and enjoy. Those can be some pretty long rides too.
I don't watch tv, not even connected. I'm a book person. Somethings seriously wrong if I'm not working on a book or two.
My latest haunt is the local library. If they don't have it, they can get it. This includes music cd's and movie dvd's.
