Do you wish that you could have lived in another time period? I'm talking about like the early 1900's or late 1800's or any other time? Even the depression time? What an experience the depression would have been! The time period now is sooooo fast and complicated. Don't you think so? Just think about the time when there were no JW's and there was only the town church where everyone got together on sunday and all the neighbors cared about eachother and helped eachother. I would have loved to have lived in another time period where there was no pressure....How about you???

i'm having great fun looking up stuff from the 60's and 70's that i recall causing me some astonishment at the time, even though i was still an active dubbie when they were published.

actually it was more than astonishment.

I am new to the board

hello everyone, i am new to this discussion board.

my name is pinned blouse because once i was wrongly df'd and i no longer attended the meetings, i noticed all my blouses had pin holes in them where i fastened safety pins in them to make sure i was always "modest" lol.

mind you i do not have large boobies but i did not want to "tempt" the brothers.. .

hi, i have been looking on the boards for a few months now, and it has had a profound effect on me.

thanks to all who i have spoken to, who have really helped me.

i was been bought up a jw.when i was 23 i left home and started 'living', got involved with a worldling, who i tried to convert so that we could be accepted.

I don't know what the big deal is about being called an apostate......All it means is one who forsakes his faith.....I think all the JW's have done that at one time before joining up with the cult. Don't you think?
