  Blog in honour of my Stepmom

  myrna, my beloved stepmom, was diagnosed with breast cancer early this year.

  in typical fashion, she let us all know what was happening in her life, informed herself of the options, and calmly determined her course of treatment.

  it was a very small lump, and it looks like all of it was removed.

  have decided to let her know how special she is to me by making up small notecards telling her how much she means to me, and delivering them regularly to her mailbox

  That will be the best therapy for your stepmom, how kind you are. I hope everything goes well

  IEmpty feeling

  iam a jw right now, and iam on public reproof.

  the problem is: even before i was reproved, i did not feel like i was apart of a loving family, i did not feel or see true love in the org., i felt empty after every meeting, as if i sat in a business recruitment course or weekly business seminar.

  i feel a lot of the poeple there, especially the elders are backstabbers.

  i could never get a handle on prayer - oh i prayed a lot.

  i begged jehovah to help with certain things.

  nothing.. and then i felt guilty.. and then i felt frustrated.

  Hi I would like to share an experience with you

  In 2000 my husband was dying with lung cancer and I chose to look after him at home

  For six monthes there was no income coming in and we had to go on welfare

  I had absolutely no money left and I prayed not for any specific thing but as to what I was going to do

  The next day the bank phoned and said would you like a $15,000 dollar overdraft.

  I listened to her on the phone in stunned disbelief. I never said anything about my situation only that I would come to the bank and sign the papers.

  I got the money.a few days later my husband died, the landlord of my house came to visit and admired my fish tank he asked me if i wanted to trade it for a car, which I did

  the next day i went looking for a job we lived in a small town with only a few stores The last store i went into was a furniture store. I told the man I was a widow and desperate for a job, he said we need a manager for this store you can start tomorrow.

  To this day i wonder about that overdraft, did some unknown samaratin secretly cosign ?

  I believe My heavenly father answered my prayers.

  the JWS wouldnt do the funeral service because we were unworthy, his elder brother wouldnt help when we needed it and he never came to his brothers funeral.

  When It Rains, It Pours.......

  just got news yesterday, indirectlyly from another non-jw family member, that my mom is going to have heart surgery afterall.

  they will replace a valve and do a triple by-pass to try to fix her up.

  this is such surprising news for me, especially at this time.

  Hopefully everything will turn out well for your mother

  my mom had many operations from brain surgery to heart surgery without blood and she survived

  Doctors can do alot these days without blood

  Its hard to accept their wishes. Hopefully everything will work out for you and your mom

  Unwitnessing - over the weekend

  saturday morning, i was on my way to my aunts' house.

  i stopped in the grocery store in a nearby small town.. on the way inside, i passed three teenaged gals exiting the store - and something triggered - "jws.

  " i laughed at my paranoia - but continued inside, where i did my shopping.. upon exiting, i noticed a parked pickup truck, and a lady standing there, preaching to some poor soul - trapped inside their own vehicle.

  why was jesus even sent to the earth?-it was because he was a perfect man.

  he died to attone for our sins so that we may have have a better chance to be in jehovah god book of life.

  so we may live in paradise.

  It was because he was a perfect man

  How many Perfect men do you know who could create the world and everything in it

  So if the bible is true it states god created jesus and jesus created everything else

  that being so jesus must have been more than a perfect man

  What did adam do?? he ate an apple. how can you compare jesus to adam?

  it seems more likely jesus was a god that came to earth took and took human form

  Were they not talking about jesus in the book of revelations?

  maybe its jesus's book of life

  how many watchtowers do you have to sell to get into the book of life?

  Removed from the account, $$$!Refusing "Simony".

  it's been two years since we have attended any meetings including the memorial.now we found out that we have been taken off the bank account of a witness that we were taking care of, because of not attending meetings and not going out in the field service,because we are now inactive.. a lot of money was involved.we were not going to compromise to keep us on the account.in order to remain in good standing with this person we would be required to attend all the meetings, go out in the field service and take this person to places such as the health centers and doctors.because we stopped doing this, we are no longer going to be the beneficiaries of any financial gain,and or property $$$.including burial plots.. so much for all the years of help we have already devoted to this person.and all the hard work and self sacrifice we have given.this person knows the meaning of "simony" ( the buying or selling of spiritual things for gain ) and yet is using simony against us.we will not allow ourselves to be held captive in the society, which we have broken away from, for no amount of money or property by the use of simony that this person is trying to impose upon us.. blueblades.
