I also have an anxiety disorder. And have fought it and dealt with it for many years.I have had some relief from strenious exercise.
Also have found a support group helpful. But several years ago the doctor because of my extreme anxiety put me on anti depressants.I had tried them in the past and didnt like them at all.But needless to say this time they worked.
Not that I feel antidepressants are the best way to deal with these things. But for me it turned down the constant mind chatter of worry to something tolerable.
I feel a much happier person which i didnt expect and Damn if i dont enjoy my life now.

A spin-off to Does it ever get easier?

im sorry that your having to deal with the loss of family.I also have lost the relationship with my mother who I will probably never see again she has decided she will not ever be the same place i am.
Also my daughter is shunning me as well.It does hurt ALOT but i think i would be more miserable to be who others want me to be instead of being true to myself.

Where's the best place to live?
by Steve Lowry ini don't usually start non-jw threads, but i was wondering about other places to move to.
i live in atlanta and while i love a lot of things about it, sometimes i think about moving on.
i was in south florida for the first thirty-five years and have been here for the last fourteen.
