Views of the real true religion

why does everyone say that there is one true religion?

i've never gotten that point since i was a little kid.

i was raised in a penecostal family, so i knew some of the world, and some of jw....but every time i got around the jw's they would force that they only held the truth.

Hey Dusty,

You portray my sentiments exactly. I am currently standing back and waiting for the truth to be revealed. I don't believe that anyone truly knows except for a given few. Christ foretold this, so there should be no reason to dispute it. I feel that since Christ understood that many would be stumbled, then he would obviously correct everyones thinking when he arrives. I feel that a persons heart condition is what will save them in the end..........meanwhile, all we can do is our best.

"Then people will deliver you up to tribulation and will kill you, and you will be objects of hatred by all the nations on account of my name. 10 Then, also, many will be stumbled and will betray one another and will hate one another. 11 And many false prophets will arise and mislead many; 12 and because of the increasing of lawlessness the love of the greater number will cool off. (Mathew 24:9-11)

I feel that there is only one religion that this prophecy applies to, and it defies logic to me. But perhaps there is some meaning behind it all, that we cannot grasp. Still, time will only tell. Meanwhile..................be at your best. (everyone)

The fact that I believe that Jehovah is God does not automatically throw me into the same group of those that have blasphemed against God. I am NOT !!!!! a part of the Watchtower Society, therefore I have no need to respond to your references to that group. Jehovah is God no matter if you call Him Yahweh, Yehovah, YHWH, or whatever. I worship the God of Abraham.............period.

Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. Your own words condemn you. All I have to do is read the words of everyone who makes a posting on this site to see where their heart is. Your words are like an open book. That is all I have to say regarding the truth that I speak. I have only spoken the truth regarding the WTS and the fact that they do not teach the truth. I do not condemn people on a daily basis by searching for their faults. Your constant bickering about the WTS is not going to change anything.

Need help and advice.

i have been having discussions with my brother who is an elder and his wife.

we are very close.

my sister in law wants to have a bible discussion with me.

In all logic,

If Christ was the first born of all creation, then he did exist in some form prior to his appearance on earth. Someone who is begotten of God is therefore Godly, or a God. What defines a God? Apparently Satan is the God of this world, so anyone who recieves worship could be considered a God.............hopefully not too confusing...

To everyone,

I have never placed myself above anyone. I speak truth. I am who I represent myself to be on this forum. I have come here to be a witness for Jehovah. My personal experiences have taught me that I can trust in Him with all of my heart. I thought that I can perhaps encourage those that have a bit of faith, to follow the God that they originally came to know. Jehovah is still God, and father to all of us here. My personal experience is coming together beyond what I can understand. I know the end is near...................Jehovah has shown that to me. Everyone will soon realize the true purpose of God. It is everyones choice from this point on to serve Him or not. I have held back at telling you what I know, and I only hope that I relay the correct information, so that I do not bring reproach upon Jehovah's name. The time is truly coming for Him to judge the nations....................................learn to listen with your hearts.

I agree,

Most people on this forum attempt to make some profound statement in hopes of gaining some recognition by their long time acquaintances. The truth is, most that are here to criticize the WTS have no room to talk. What are you doing with your lives that put yourselves above any other person, group, or organization? It seems that those that have even a glimpse of spirituality and faith, are the ones that are ridiculed most..............shame on the ones that this applies to.You know who you are.

Prayer - did it work for you?

i could never get a handle on prayer - oh i prayed a lot.

i begged jehovah to help with certain things.

nothing.. and then i felt guilty.. and then i felt frustrated.

There is only one way that I can answer your question: "How does believing in Harmagedon make us better human beings?" In order to believe that it will ever take place, you first have to have a belief in the bible, which is the source of the teaching. By believing that the bible is the inspired word of God, we can then make the decision to follow, and adhere to the teachings as a disciple of Christ. I learned of Harmagedon from the bible and this is not my teaching. Whether I prefer to have it occur, or not, is not a choice that is given to me. It will happen regardless if anyone chooses to believe in it or not. Simply believing that it will occur is a beginning of faith, and will cause people to become better human beings by following the principles outlined in the bible. I hope this answers your question.............
