Suicide: Bearing the Burden - Maximus to Jayhawk
by Eusebius Hieronymus inmaximus has requested that i post the following, for jayhawk especially, and for others who are the living victims of the tragic act of suicide.. .
while all suicides are devastating tragedies, jw suicides are especially hard to bear, depending on the viewpoint of the survivor.
one person may be shattered, while another merely accepts the possibility of a resurrection of a loved one.

This post may represent Maximus' response to Jayhawk's unspeakable loss of a father, but the concepts presented are applicable to all of us who are struggling with loss. The organization, the Society, Watchtower, whatever, has been a thief and a robber. Things have been stolen from us.
We've been cheated.
All the pretty pictures of little girls with hibiscus petals in their hair, petting lions. Not pie in the sky when you die, like the communists or Marxists taught, WE were promised pie any day now. Armageddon is near. Preach harder and faster and you can bring it on. Slack off and you delay it.
Now we grow old. We decay. Thanks, Metatron, for little pieces of hope that we can stave off death by scientific life extension. Sigh.
Note to elders who will attend the November and December schools: Bring lots of No-Doze, drink lots of coffee to stay awake. I've had a preview. How do you spell BORING. Any real change in the organization is years away. I predict the biggest elder exodus the organization has ever seen after the new school.

Um, Amazing,
There is no such thing as file cabinets any more. Your point is well taken nonetheless. Everything is digitalized these days. All incoming letters are scanned, there are NO outgoing hard copies of letters. Just a very large database.
Maximus has called attention to the fact that the Brits have an abuse policy way above or superior to that in the U.S., so conclusions can be drawn accordingly. Where do you find Psalm 127 in any U.S. letter? Or Romans 13? It appears that God has "favoured" the British, or they have listened more carefully to His voice, or He's pissed at the U.S. .......

Maximus and Marvin Shilmer, where are you?
This thread is powerfully important but close to being buried. It's platinum, not just gold.
The MadApostate "Crumbs from the Bethel Table" has had 2500+ hits, but no one seems to give a damn about this one.
That tells a very sad story about posters here.

Milton Henschel knows... :) He really "ain't" THAT BRAIN-DEAD... :) Ditto for his phony fronts and henchmen toadies! Come on over to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/jahchristian folks for some really solid spiritual food and fellowship just like I do. It'll make you strong to the finish! :)
My heart quickened at your posts until I read your comment about DOs consulting with COs. You are misreading recent training schools for traveling overseers prior to the schools for U.S. elders in November and December.
You have put together a mishmash of scant facts and much conjecture above, including comments about Milton Henschel. You keep stating he is in charge, just like you insisted J B Schroeder was in charge. Anybody who REALLY knows the situation will tell you Milton has been mentally incompetent for a very long time. I know, I met with him recently. It is Ted Jaracz who is the hardest of the GB breed and not Milton, who truly is out of the picture and has been for some time.
Charles will be the first to tell you he is an observer from afar and has no "inside" sources. I miss the presence on the board of those who really know what's going on. Downsizing is real.
Is the Watchtower Society running scared? You bet. They've had the gun placed to their temple and they have blinked.
The casual reader should exercise great caution before buying into everything said in this thread. That is not to take away from the web site group "jahchristian" noted above, or the good motive of its founder.

More Bethelite Table Crumbs Please!
by MadApostate inin a controversial post in a separate thread, janh makes an extremely good observation that a certain former gb member will likely carry many, many wts "top secrets" to his grave, for whatever reasons he does not wish to divulge such.. then, on this db, former bethelites constantly exchange posts where their word choice is "cloaked" so that many of us who were not insiders are left guessing at meaning, people, etc.
obviously, even individual members of this fraternity have unique experiences and insights.
if such info is not disseminated, it is lost if that person dies naturally or in an accident.. would you folks please post more elaborately so that the rest of us can benefit from your knowledge and experience.. the statement that motivated this post made a silent reference to the author of the happiness book.

<This DB resembles the Org so closely, and Max and his groupies resemble the Org hierarchy so closely (we have here the MSs, the Elders, the COs, the DOs, and even the GB, as well as the suck-up wanna-bes below each level) that anyone with an ounce of objectivity left is probably puking his guts out.>
Is this this time when we start saying "Yeah! He's right! Go get the pitchforks and the firebrands! We know who they are! Let's take care of them! Burning people is not a bad idea at all! What's Max's address!!"
The mob here is fickle, so fickle it is downright frightening. A poster says he re-evaluates whether or not he should be posting, someone else says he is threatening to leave the board, and yet another person reads only that and makes a judgement that the poster is childish in threatening to leave the board.
Kent, you say
<He makes "childish" statements like "thretening to leave the board". So what? Personally I find the last mentioned a bit silly, but so what?>Don't misread Kent! He is commenting on what someone ELSE might think. But someone will accept that as truth, because Kent said it. On and on it goes. Mad Apostate suckered you on that one.
Kent, I don't think he threatened to leave, he's got to be feeling pretty damned low with all the shit thrown at him because he objects to this "crumbs from the table" insult. Why the hell bother staying for such a stupid reward as having "groupies" that don't even exist? I think your own words were misused by others. Distrust won't motivate anyone to give him or you documents, and that's what's being created in this vicious thread by Mad Apostate who is clearly VICIOUS.
Prisca, you say we need encouragement. You surely did not give Max any, but you vaguely say you agree with Mad Apostate whose rude and crude ways are totally obnoxious. Now we've even got sKally thinking that material presented here has been made up!
You want to see cliques in here, you will make them up. Go back and read what larc said. Bring on the tar and feathers for me too.
Totally disgusted,

: hearing things in my voice
No, I read it in your words. You called him rude and dismissive. You said he dumped on the poster.
That's not hearing things--English is my mother tongue, and I read those exact words which are abundantly clear. You judged the man unfairly. Plain and simple.
Now. That said, let me tell you that you ARE important. What you may not have picked up on the board is that Maximus is taking some enormous risks--because he thinks people like you are important! Because helpless kids who die of Child Blood Abuse are important. Because molested kids who have no voice are important. That's why he undoubtedly winced in pain at your remarks.
I'm out of here for awhile, as I noted above. Certain folks are being "trained" in preparation for Ministerial Training Schools later. Groan.

: His response to the first poster didn't sound very nice to me, so I said so!
Didn't "sound" very nice? You "heard" that in his voice? Aha!
Had he politely just said "No," you or someone else would have complained or asked why.
How about "listening" to his comment again, hearing someone presenting light-hearted banter about not wanting to get his head shot off? Joking about a bounty! You called this rude and dismissive. That was as judgmental as any JW elder! That would rankle anyone.
This board is monitored by Watchtower Legal. It is certainly inconsistent to recognize the need for a person's anonymity, then ask him to tell his life story or where it can be read!
I'm out of here.
(sKally, you are a sweetheart; the last time you asked Max to give details he took the time to provide what you asked on Prodigal Children. Surely you respect that. My remark was light-hearted too; I apologize if it came across as flip. Just was in a playful mood with that "baited breath" thingy.

Doubt he'll take your bait.
You'll likely remain with bated breath.
For certain organizational reasons, I will have to refrain from posting for awhile, but hope to peek in. This is The Learning Place.
