Can confirm. They are all over Tennessee. Hubby came home asking me about them because he saw two of them just in the last week. I was in complete disbelief. I keep asking myself how far they have to go for my family to see TTATT.

How do Americans feel about Canadians and Britons interjecting their opinions onto hot localized political topics: gun laws, abortion, ect?
by adjusted knowledge inin addition to the above question, why do citizens of the two above mentioned countries, or other countries, feel the necessity to tell americans how they should interpret the american constitution for localized issues?.
i fairly much have an idea what the general population in the usa feels in regards to the first question.
this could be one of the possible reasons cnn piers morgan poor ratings and eventual firing.

I would love to be a Brit or a Canadian (or German, or Swedish, for that matter). I think they have a great deal more sense about many things related to governance. Although lately the Canadians seem to be following in our footsteps, and more's the pity. Alas, I was born an American, and it seems I will die one.
edited to say that this sentiment means I have no ill will for the opinions of Canadians or Brits.

Seems like I was always in the back room for a talking to. Usually about something mundane like going to the mall. Yes, really. I was only pulled in the back once for anything serious, which was some basic groping by a young "brother" in the congregation. I was privately reproved, but by then I was on my way out the door, so it didn't matter. -

I first came on here to read after my mother started shunning me. I tried to join on the old site, but could never get on.
My husband had said some very insightful things about me still using their language, and having lots of triggers that upset me for reasons I did not understand. He would begin to probe their teachings with me, and I would get angry and frustrated for no reason. This made me begin to wonder whether, in 20 years of being out, I had ever really explored it and freed my mind. I came here and found that I had NOT. Reading the history of the organization, and losing the fear of apostates and demons and Armageddon was the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me. I love you all.

Grandpa died, they didn't say anything

and they literally didn't say anything about it at moved on to another subject like nothing happened.

Grief is something we were taught not to acknowledge. We were taught that expressions of grief show lack of faith. Normal grieving processes are interrupted by JW teachings. I still struggle with this after 20 years out in the real world.
I'm so sorry you lost your grandfather. My gram died 4 years ago next month and I still cry for her.

I'm a bit confused about the doctor vs nurse thing. A nurse still needs at least a 2 year degree, though most facilities prefer BSNs, and a nurse practitioner is a 6 year degree. It only took me 1 semester of school to figure out I wanted nothing more to do with the JWs. How do they think 2 years is not just as "risky" as 4? -

Poster country flags and privacy
by Simon inthe new forum originally had a little country flag next to each post showing the country that the post was made from based on the geoip encoding (the country the ip address is from).
before i switched over to the new site someone made an issue about it violating their privacy and i didn't want to complicate and confuse the switchover with policy debate at the same time as technical issues so removed the flags even though i disagreed.. someone has already requested it as a feature and i think it should be added back so i thought it's now time to open the discussion and get everyone's opinions.
