Tell me you are not serious. I have those symptoms a lot from blood clots in my legs and from a seizure condition. Personally its my convection that they believe they are special because a spiritual froth like the four square Pentecostal religion rolls on the floor.

NEW LIGHT?
by sandy inaccording to a jw witness friend of mine it is not always necessary to go to the elders to confess, not even the more serious sins such as immorality.. she said the only reason one would go to the elders is if they feel they no longer have jehovah's favor.
the elders are there to help them see they can still be loved by jehovah.. is she on crack!
i had a long discussion with her yesterday about religion and jws.

I have been a Jehovah's Witness for fifty years. At this point I now know with out feeling bad that it is Jehovah that you worship and not men, it is Jehovah you pray to not men its him that you beg forgivness to not men. When you can reach this point you will understand the fear of Jehovah and closeness that can come between you and your God.

Speaking of Shunning
by North Girl infor those who don't know me i've never been jw but am interesting in understanding.
anyways, i was wondering when you were a practicing jw and you had to shun people, deep down how did you feel?
did you feel right in doing so or did you always know that it wasn't right?

Shunning is wrong. I was raised a Jehovah's Witness and did NOT fully understand how it affected the disfellowshiped ones till I became a disfellowshipped one years ago then I became reinstated. It is unkind, it is unloving, it does not encourage joy of heart, it does not create peace in house holds / families whom the disfellowshipped one is residing in, it is not long suffering, it judges others by standards that are inhumane, it does not show mildness, it is far from showing goodness. No human knows the thoughts and intentions of the heart, only Jehovah does, leave it up to him to work out justice and punishment. It goes completely against my conscious to shun another under the pretense of being loyal to Jehovah while really its just punishing a sinner, when in fact that is what we all are.

Elders "disassociated" me-after I married non-JW
by Nikita inin was baptized in 1983 at the age of 18. by the end of 1984, i was beginning the fade thing.
for 5 years i was an "inactive" witness.
i can recall maybe one visit from an elder , though a few more from some "friends" that had missed me.

It is rather high minded of the witness's to say that unless you marry in a kingdom hall or under the direction of witness elders than your marriage is doomed.

Acute leukemia in Jehovah's Witnesses.
by PinTail inhttp://www.haematologica.it/2000_11/1221.htm
with the aim of demonstrating the possibility of treating acute leukemia in jehovah's witnesses by protocols which include a marrow transplantation procedure without need of transfusions, we report our experience on 5 patients.
three patients had acute lymphocytic leukemia and two acute myeloid leukemia, two received autologous bone marrow transplants and one bone marrow transplantation without transfusions.

Three patients had acute lymphocytic leukemia and two acute myeloid leukemia, two received autologous bone marrow transplants and one bone marrow transplantation without transfusions. One died because of anemia during induction. Our conclusion is that acute leukemia in Jehovah's Witnesses can be treated with protocols employed in transfused patients.

What did the JW cult teach me:
by PinTail in.
gods name, his hope for mankind upon the earth, to learn he hears me when i pray and that i don't need someone else to do it for me, that jesus truly did redeem me from my sins, that there is honestly hope for my dead sister and father, and that the only true justice comes from jehovah, he will repay.

Poll: Anyone thought they sinned against Holy Spirit? Any anxiety or anger?
by SAHS incertainly not that i would ever imply that anyone would have sinned against the holy spirit, but i was just wondering how may people either think they may have done this, or in the past thought they may have, or if they felt they were ever a victim of that wt scare tactic.
if so, did you at some point in your life feel anxiety over it?
did you ever feel anger about being misled into thinking you had when you realize now that you really couldn?t have (at least by that time)?

Not me, "Jehovah Jehovah, a God full of mercy and undeserved kindness". Unlike humans Jehovah knows our make up "remembering we are dust."

Blood Clots/DVT
by Junction-Guy ini was diagnosed twice last year with blood clots in my leg.
the first time was last may.
i had severe throbbing pain in my leg and my doctor and the nurses at work thought it was tendonitis or pulled muscles, i however knew in my mind that it was something much more serious.
