JW in Germany Have "Stand Firm"-Event in Protestant Church Building!

on november 13th, jw in hamburg are again showing their "stand firm"-movie and on on november 18th they have a contemporary jw witness there to talk about his experiences.

jw in europe have done this several times.

the interesting piece is that this time it is being done in the "haus der kirche" ("house of the church") in harburg, a hamburg district.

Should Marijuana Possession Be Decriminalized If Under An Ounce?

in massachusetts, possession of pot, if under an ounce will only get you a fine, under a new law.. some say this will send the wrong message about illegal drug use.

(personally, i don't imbibe but i know many that do).

so, do you think allowing this law to pass will bring about more illegal drug use?.

I remember once back in 1994 after my massive brain injury this stupid ass brother and so called friend and step father of my daughter, would not call on me I would raise my hand over and over and over again and I was setter right next to him on the couch in his home. So after he said the closing prayer I quickly asked him why he did not call on me after repeated arm raising, he said it is because you I could smell smoke on your breath, I had not smoked in at least three days, incidentally I was recuperating from a brain injury that affected my behavior.
But to make a long story short I smacked him a good one out in his garage after he kept insisting that I had smoked before coming to the study, I guess it was his self righteousness that made me so mad he was a somana bitch.

I don't pray before meals anymore since I'm my own "God." Praise ME!

i used to "give thanks to jehovah" for each meal three times a day, before i realized that the only reason i had a meal...or clothes or a house was because i got off my butt and earned a living.

yes you can pray 24/7 but if you don't get off your knees and look for a job a turkey dinner will not be found on the door step....so i should give thanks to myself instead of some imagined "gene in a bottle" that used magic to get me my dinner.. praise witness 007 for he is merciful and kind..

having experienced the shunning of nearly all my old friends, i realize that although wt can not stop you from expressing your own thoughts (free will), they certainly do have enough control mechanisms in place to make you less likely to do so.

i was an open apostate for awhile, not on purpose, was just expressing myself to anyone who would listen about how we had been duped.....lied to about certain things.

i chose to shut up and shut down for the most part since i knew a full df would be even harder on my wife and our marriage.

You are where I am am at now, I have learned I don't need to change them I just need to relax and let Jehovah do what he feels like doing. For me this holiday season I am going to set back like I am doing right now and drink a high ball (JD) and not be all keyed up over religion.
