According to news reports, the polio virus has been spreading in NY waters since April of this year. Polio is a crippling disease that affects the bones. I actually know someone that had polio and is crippled shrinking the length of his arm and leg. I also remember a boy who had polio aged 10 walking around with metal braces over his limbs for support when I was age 5. I also went to a orthopedic doctor for a checkup at age 13 who had polio. I wonder how in the world did polio come back into the US. My guess and I’m probably wrong is illegal aliens “sneaking across the border” and then going to NY on their own to live or being sent there by the government. I’m just guessing. -

A new generation of anointed that will not pass away.
by Fisherman inobviously, the older “ anointed ” from 1914 died.
and because they were anointed, they hopefully went to heaven.
in the first century though, a newer generation did not replace the old.

Does that make me a part of the Civil War generation?
Wt now interprets “this generation” to refer to the generation of the “anointed” .So the focus changed from the generation of 1914 to the generation of the anointed and it is their lifespan only that limits the length of generation. For example if someone was alive during the civil they were part of that generation. And if an anointed individual’s life over lapped and was anointed during the life of FF for example, one of the oldest anointed (and I met older) he is considered part of the anointed generation that will not pass away until all these things occur—as wt interprets that scripture at this time. So simply put. It ain’t about the 1914 generation that should not pass away.

very silly of them. overlap
Valid dictionary definition seems to me. The puzzle is what did Jesus mean by generation in the olivette in terms of time. WT had applied a definition of generation to a time limit until recently. At present there is no wt defined time limit assigned to the olivette generation except that the second group of anointed will not die off before the great tribulation. Nothing more is officially stated or implied.

have made certain that his "subjects" were clearly made aware of a future life,
The Bible makes that crystal clear.

Beware of "organization." - They said it!
by punkofnice inwatchtower, september 15, 1895: "beware of "organization.
" it is wholly unnecessary.
the bible rules will be the only rules you will need.

WT claims progressive understanding and not that wt teachings is an un changeable standard. For example, wt once celebrated christmas and believed in the cross.

That is not a new concept. But part of the original definition of generation taught by wt in the early 1900,s

Free Will - Does It or Does It Not Exist?
by truth_b_known inbeing born-in and raised as one of jehovah's witnesses i remember a common theme or phrases used by the watchtower in its theory of why things are the way they are -.
jehovah created humans.
jehovah created humans as free moral agents.

Not being funny, but I'm not convinced a does God exist.
He can give you empirical evidence specially to you to convince you but what difference would that make except that you will know with certainty. Of there is any ultimate justice every person will know.
