Is there really any universal issue of Sovereignty?
by Linda14 ini can agree that satan doesn't see god as a good ruler as stated at gen 3:1-5. he doesn't seem to see gods laws as right or good.
but whether there is an understanding/agreement between god and satan afterward to the effect that he can take the mantle of rulership to show whether his style is best is doubtful.
that conclusion is probably reached because god hasn't destroyed satan, and he is also called the ruler of the world in the bible.

Why then the kingdom of God? Think about the whole picture.

Prediction of Watchtower in a Few Years
by Foolednomore inkingdom halls will be the thing of the past.. conventions (mini assembly halls will still be going on) but will charge for attending and parking and always a donation.
elders will play a much smaller role since csa.
cart preaching will replace door to door.

Religious belief comes and goes as far as importance. A major event in the world can drive people back to religion.
Not in this modern world and information age. Religious institutions with ceremonies and and rituals and prohibitions and tithes are on their way out because people don’t need them if they stop giving out free rice. Before, people looked to religious leaders and institutions for spiritually having superpowers from God but now see ministers as a guy with a costume living better than me. There is nothing special about religious leaders compared to self. The rituals and prohibitions are meaningless to the new generation except for cultural reasons and traditions and community and family — in some religions like Judaism. Without God, religion is a burden (now that the church and its leaders are seen with kryptonite eyes) —except when it makes people feel identity and a feeling of belonging when a person participates in ceremonies and lifestyle but only as a façade and pretense because it is a burden. People still have their personal beliefs and faith in God but mankind’s era of organized religion are like the era of magic shows, you can learn how the trick is done on tiktok. Who goes to magic shows nowadays?

If the WT is a fake manmade religion, the jig is up. A new generation is not buying it. Many years ago people were religiously inclined snd “searching” but now people’s concern is about enjoying their lives and paying their bills. Nobody has time to devote to religion nowdays. There was an exciting interest in the past about prophecy and the time of the end and of spiritual experience and feeling. But that is not what characterizes people nowadays. Peoples like Jews and others, however, still practice religion for cultural or nationalist reasons although atheists. —Of course JW are convinced that God is behind them and JW are unstoppable.

How to debunk the 1914 calculus ONLY using JW publications?
by psyco ini remember having read somewhere, but i cannot find it anymore, that it is possible to debunk the 1914 calculus using only jw publications, like "insight on the scriptures" (chronologies) for example.. do you have any sources about that to suggest to me?.
thanks..

How about tomorrow we analyze that story, or should I say stories.
The Bible says he did. The Bible says that Judah went into Babylon exile for 70 years.

but not all of us believe that every Jewish survivor of the conquest of Jerusalem and Judah went into exile in Babylon. Furthermore, not all of us believe that all of Judah was totally desolate (with no Jewish population at all) for exactly 70 years.
You mean that Moses did not part the red sea—only part of it.

They will try to reinvent themselves possibly
They are not unconvinced because the eschatology is not happening as believed. But it does seem that the JW preaching work is coming to an end compared to years ago.

why are we interested in what is going on in the JW
by enoughisenough infor the most of us, we have left the jws...and even though we are no longer jw, many of us are still interested in their beliefs, doctrines and practices as currently practiced.
i was trying to sort out in my mind why i still care about what they are doing.
i think the answer to that is a hope that something will develop in the jws that will wake up a lot of others, and selfishly, a lot of my friends.

i don’t think you would give that same latitude
Of course I can, objectively. For example I don’t reject substance here because an unbeliever is standing on it. You would have to define corruption.

JW's have their traditions, but like any successful movement, they will have to adapt
D2D is a 1A right that I am sure was not handed to JW on a silver plater, JW blood was spilled for it and JW are never, ever, ever going to surrender it, I dare to guess.
