  are there among you, dear friends, a specialist in american associations from around the 1950s -1970s and a little more?

  to find out from what years in the usa the first subsidies were granted to religious congregations and other non-profit or charitable associations?

  why this question is that i just thought that there is perhaps a link between doctrinal clarifications over the years and government innovations to support or subsidize these supposedly charitable religious organizations or certain qualified ngos?

  God is always the superior authority. The Bible being the double edge sword that it is also refers to Caesar as the superior authority except when it violates God’s law. In that case God is superior authority.

  wouldn't Mary have been guilty of a) fornication since the "sperm" was not Joseph's or b) adultery (since she was engaged)?

  According to the Bible, Mary became pregnant by the HOLY Spirit. Also, there was no sexual relations involved with organs.

  Boggles the mind God’s greatness who could have easily selected any single female but God chose Mary and didn’t intervene by not having her get engaged to Joseph.

  Also, a single pregnant by the Holy Spirit woman would be ostracized besides nobody would marry her in that malelish society back then. And, Jesus needed a step for obvious reasons. One reason is for the “legal right” to the throne of David.—Isn’t God magnificent?

  God's Law is the highest Law and God's Court is the highest Court.

  If the WTBT$ wasn't guilty of complicity, then why were they trying to avoid discovery as regards the relationship between the Watch Tower of New York and the Watch Tower of Pennsylvania or the way the organization worked in prior years? What were they trying to hide? What were they afraid of revealing?

  Like saying someone is guilty of something when they invoke the Fifth and should therefore surrender their rights or when someone refuses a search inside their house or their car without a warrant if they have nothing to hide. That is your logic. Or when a leo not acting in her official capacity abuses family members, why isn’t the agency and the municipality liable?

  Also, in the Penkava case referenced above, the accused was a family member —if I am not mistaken. In that case, the Elders were convicted of not reporting ca when according to what I read on the internet they reported it to the wt lawyers, so to say they covered the abuse is a misrepresentation making it seem they kept it secret. They didn’t. They reported it to WT. Also, WT argues time and time again that sadly privileged communications are protected under Federal law inspite of State compulsory reporting mandates so WT argues they have legal reasons for not disclosing privileged communication. Not to be misrepresented by the term cover up which implies no legal basis and that wt has something to gain. Also when a penitent confesses privileged information to a minister is a minister covering up a crime or a sin if he doesn’t turn the person in? Even if the crime is required by law to be reported is he covering up the crime by not turning the person in if he has nothing to gain? Covering up describes hiding shameful conduct or wrongful conduct that affects the person doing the cover up like when police cover up police misconduct to protect the pd from liability. But how is wt benefiting by not turning in someone accused of abusing his own family like in the referenced Illinois case. Calling it a coverup is disingenuous seems to me.

  Thanks for the links EP appreciate these sources.

  I’ve noticed that on the Montana cases you linked, the Defendants were relatives. Really horrible and disturbing stuff to read. Unimaginable abuse, assuming it is true. Because WT has deep pockets and the victims can collect from them. Minus WT in the equation, the relatives would still have abused their innocent kids.

  Courts don’t adjudicate feelings or morality or good and bad such as when “doctors” with the permission of the mother have gruesomely un-alived legally as a child is being born but partially inside the mother for example. I’ve seen medical books on this that haunts me till this day. How about liability of government agencies having knowledge that children are being harmed or were harmed in the past with drug and tobacco use in the home or an environment that damages the welfare of a child such as corrupting conduct of the parents or too something physical like lead paint in gov owned housing for example . Shouldn’t there also be a tolling of the statute of limitations to hold liable people responsible for protecting children?

  The legal issue involving wt in all objectivity is wt liability in any failure to protect children when legally required to do so. Seems to me.

  i remember as a kid that a slice of pizza was a dime, the same price for a large bag of m&ms or a large hershey’s bar or an ice cream popsicle, box of cracker jacks, bag of potato chips, bus fare.

  the dimes were made out of silver and many of them were mercury dimes with the dates worn off.

  …and while nowadays except for the pizza, everything tastes about the same only now costing 10 times as much, bus fare costs 28x as much and pizza costs 40x as much:.

  The so called pizza is made with artificial cheese and cheap ingredients everywhere you go. For some years a few pizza joints continued to use real cheese and ingredients and it was a delight to eat, same taste as the dime pizza of old, very tasty and satisfying with real gooey cheese. Now they’ve stopped and all pizza shops have deteriorated and serving artificial pizza that is a waste of time to eat using fake cheese and cheap sauce. People still eat them because that is all there is everywhere you go.

  Goodbye Mother

  so my mother passed on 20 aug 23 from the big c. i was there when she went.

  that was indeed very traumatic.

  i won't go to describe it.. dad went 17 years ago so there's just me now.

  The invited minister should have realized beforehand that he was outside his jurisdiction inside the kh. He is not a Rev inside the kh.

  I have attended funerals for JW where their df family comes to the kh and all JW treat and greet the df family members with compassion and warmth and talk to them and comfort them. —Now if someone starts preaching another religion inside the kh, that is being disorderly and disrespectful.
