do you remember this little gem?

well, a few months ago, i found out a friend of mine was a dub.

he gave me one of the 'gems' of his dub days saying that he held onto this pamphlet for so long for no apparent reason.

In my quick research I found that the WTS put out 1989 version. The copy I have is the 1979 version. I'm wondering what bits of 'new light' found it's way into the latter version.

I remember when it came out at an assembly. It seemed like they were wanting to blanket the 1975 fiasco by releasing a [false] reminder of 'our' beliefs to 'set us straight' since we [the rank and file] all made spontaneous assumptions about '75.

28 states in the usa do not have mandatory reporting of child abuse in religious groups.. doctors, teachers, healthcare workers and psychologists are by law required to report incidents of child sexual assault.

Exodus 23:14-17 You CAN celebrate Thanksgiving. !!

it's right here, in the nwt bible.... .

exodus 23:14...."three times in the year, you are to celebrate a festival to me".. exodus 23:16...."also, the festival of harvest of the first ripe fruits of your labors, of what you sow in the field.

and the festival of ingathering at the outgoing of the year", when you gather in your labors from the field".. so, on the third thursday of november, we celebrate the "feast of the ingathering" by dedicating this day to giving thanks to god for the food and all the blessings we have enjoyed throughout the year.. it's right there in their bible, so why won't they celebrate it?
