  at least i think it might be a ghost .

  here is the story: hub and i went to bowness on windermere for a holiday last week.

  we had a great time.

  Why do ex-JWs try so hard to uncover WTS dirt?

  far too many times i have heard the accusation that all x-jws want to do is tear down the wts.

  we scrounge around digging up every piece of information that we can that will put the wts in a bad light.

  "they" being those who seek to defend the wts and forget the past because ... well it is the past and there is so much "new light".

  Waking up to a gas hike of?

  ok, folks, swallow this.

  yesterday at the gas pumps, a litre of gas went for 94.9. this morning it was $109.9 a litre!

  since 4.5 litres equal a gallon, how would you react to waking up and having to pay (an increase)in the range of 64 cents a gallon for gas?

  Fairchild, I'm fully aware that it will get worse. This is a sample of things to come and it's going to be hard times for a large family. This price change was a matter of hours. 3 hours later they reduced the price to $100.9 a litre.
  
  I grocer shop with the Mrs and I keep tabs on the prices of items. A few cents here and there adds up especially to a large family. How much extra spending money do people have? Making ends for some people is tough.

  Greetings, since you've already sent the letter, which by the way was reasonable, you have an outline to discuss YOUR concerns.
  
  Assuming I were your dad, I wouldn't find any objections to discussing the contents of your letter. All my children are adults, so, I wish you the best. When my kids became of age what they did was their business.

  Watchtower Society is NOT learning

  i believed for a while, since 2000, with the build up of lawsuits and litigation, that the watchtower society was at least trying to protect itself better.

  they did publish some useful, if very imperfect, changes in policy regarding child abuse that appeared to suggest their practices were headed in the right direction.. then, in the year 2006, the hammer of hard reality smacks me upside the head.

  my son-in-law's dad, who i have mentioned in a continuing series, has been back in jail for sometime because of lying to the police about his sexual deeds with children.
