Something is drastically not right with this women. I'm not going to try and guess what her problem is. From the sound of it, this matter is out of hand. Police reports should have been taken ages ago. Excuse me for saying this, but, he needs a set a balls and I don't mean golf balls. She without question needs professional help.
I realize it's a family matter and whether or not the elders will step-in, she can tell them where to go. It's to bad he didn't have movie pictures of some of these 'crazy' incidents.
I can only give you encouragement and hopefully the information from this board will assist you. This women is in need of professional and medical help.

however, i have a brother who is a jw and there is a serious problem that he is struggling with, which pertains to his horrible marriage, abusive wife, divorce and being "kicked out" of jw as a member... or whatever jw's call it.

God commented, "Well, what's the big deal in inventing somethings that's pretty unstable, makes noise and pollution, and can't run without a road?" Arthur was apparently embarrassed, but finally spoke, "Excuse me but aren't you the inventor of women?" God said, "Ah yes."
"Well," said Arthur "professional to professioinal, you have some major design flaws in your invention. 1. There's too much inconsistency in the front-end protrusion; 2. It chatters constantly at high speeds; 3. Most of the rear ends are too soft and wobble too much; 4. The intake is placed way too close to the exhaust; and, 5. The maintenance costs are outrageous!"
"Hmmmmmmmm, you may have some good points there," replied God. "Hold on." God went to his celetial super computer, typed in a few words and waited for the results. The computer printed out a slip of paper and God read it. "Well, it may be true that my invention is flawed," God said to Arthur, "but according to these numbers, more men are riding my invention than yours."

i just talked to my folks in socal and they said it was around $2.25 per gallon for regular unleaded.. i just noticed today gas hit $1.59 p/g (northern colorado) at sam's club!!
what's up it was $1.99 just a few weeks ago?

Been There, our litres are NOT gallons. So, when you add 9 cents to each litre x's four, its a 38 cent jump! 4.4 litres supposedly equals 1 gallon.

Somebody- Please Help Me UNDERSTAND?
by upside/down ini understand there is a ton of anger out there toward the wts and dub's, and rightly so... what i don't understand is this notion that there is an evil conspiracy on the part of the wts and dubs as individuals to subjugate and control the unwary (or however you want to label us) for some evil sinister purpose.
i know what they are doing and agree it's wrong but to what purpose- i mean you can look at televangelist and see what's up with them (follow the money).
but what's up with the dub's.

Upside/down just letting you know I enjoyed reading your posts. My son is a paramedic so I get to hear lots of stories. Like you, I believe in choices, I always have and always will.
As to understanding people, well, there just that, people. Too many people strain out the gnat and gulp down the camel don't they? Do you play musical instruments or in a band?

The need for "Fellowship"
by maybesbabies init seems to me that a recurring theme for exiting witnesses is not their questions of faith (most have researched mightily before coming here, or had their own crisis of conscience), but the lack of fellowship that will happen if they leave.
it feels good to be part of a group, to feel wanted and needed.
the problem arises when that fellowship is not based on you as a person, but by what image you present, or how much you "produce".

Maybesbabies, "There is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving." I stay in touch with the people in my community. One elderly lady (non-witness) calls me frequently and I give her the time of day. My experience is, most people are out of touch with people.
I commented once before how I enjoyed the ministry. I enjoyed it because I met people. I often think of the many older people I use to visit and spend time with. My objective wasn't in placing literature. The influence of growing up among older people has served me well, something I will always treasure.
The scripture that you bring to my mind is Heb.10;24,25, "...encouraging one another..." As a professional competitor it is 'customary' (at least in golf) to shake hands once the round has been completed. Also, during play, if any golfer makes a great shot (fluke or not) he/she is commended. Sports has played a major role in how I think, not the JW teachings. When I reflect on the many years of JW service, encouraging one another wasn't on top of the list, why, good question.
People need people and that means fellowship. Some people think they can live without people, well, let me say, good luck, because your gonna need it! People who think they don't need others would do well to reflect on the lyrics, "People who love people are the luckiest people in the world."
