A letter to the Parents

a friend gave me permission to post this.

i think it's a good letter, it might help others formulate their thoughts; she understands it may not be read or considered deeply, but things can't get much worse with her family at this point anyway.

no contact is not that much different than contact once per year or less, and sometimes it's just really important to have the people who should know you, at least know you a little.

Excellent post, that's a keeper! Sums up quite well what's wrong with the JW brand of religion.

If they'd stick with the concrete teachings of salvation, rather than forcing their opinions on the congregations as if God himself said whatever the "society" decides is "food at the proper time", it would be much closer to pleasing God.

But, as it is, like all other religions, it requires putting faith in a mn0made orgamnization, rather than in God's word.

Too bad, JWs, like all other religions, are just another apostacy.

while trinitarians believe that the father, son, and the holy spirit, are god, they also believe that they are distinct persons within the one god.

thus they are able to speak to one another.

so jesus (one person) speaking to the father (another person) in prayer is not a problem.

Nephalim

for many years i have wondered about the nephalim, sorry if this is a previously asked question.. i don't undertsand how the angels could have got women pregnant.

surely they did not have any inherent capabilities of producing life.. it seems to me that only a creator would have that ability.

so how did the angels get the women pregnant?.

Seriously? I see all the previous replies have made a joke of this.

Genesis ^:1-4, and Numbers 13:33 are the only places(I believe) the Nephalim are mentioned. Looking at the Genesis account, which reveals more (though still not enough for a concrete determination), it says: 1 When men began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. 3 Then the LORD said, "My Spirit will not contend with [1] man forever, for he is mortal [2] ; his days will be a hundred and twenty years." 4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days-and also afterward-when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown."

The only logical conclusion UI can come top is that these angels perhaps possesed the finer male specimens, and somehow genetically altered their sperm, not too far fetched if one believes the Bible as the inspired word of God, and that Demons are fallen Angels who were created perfect and were allowed to observe God's creation, including humans, for eons..

Without getting in to how genetics are influenced through adaptation, it would seem possible that highly intelligent spirit creatures would have more knowledge on human genetics and modification theeof, than we as humans currently have.

BOTTOM LINE, though, is this is trivial and has nothing to do with our salvation. That is one of the reasons I lefyt the JWs, because they don't know what's inportant to teach as neccessary for salvation, and what's not.

This clearly falls in the latter category.

at the circuit assembly, my mother mentioned to me that the society is warning of a new danger.

there are witnesses that are on the internet reading apostate things but are still members of the congregation.

they are slowly being infiltrated by the 'apostates' and are still amongst us.

Too funny!! Sounds like my Mom. I tell her it's too late- Rutherford was the first Apostate, and it's been downhill ever since. 2 Thes 2:3-5, which speaks of the sign of apostacy and the man of lawlessness, defines these as the one(s) who sits himself in the seat of God. I can think of no better definition to describe ALL religions, which require putting one's faith in a man made organiztion, and its doctrines, interpretations, and opinions, rather than putting one's faith in God.
