  I'm seeing the need for some 420 !!!

  and no... it has nothing to do with pot.

  my check engine light came on last night and the computer code was p0420... the catalytic converter, bank 1. .

  does anyone in the dfw area know anyone who does this kind of work on the side?

  I can only speak from my experience. I was on my way to the shore years ago when the CC melted, after many warnings on the "light on the dasH.

  It cost a lot to get it replaced.

  Removing it is fine for performance, however, it's quite illegal, and I'm not sure what the penatie$$ are for removing here in states.

  If you don't get your catalytic converter replaced, it will melt eventually, constricting your exhaust, robbing the vehicle of power immensely, and posssibly ruin other parts of your engine, causing catastrophic engine failure.
  

  Sorry, can't help you with where to take it. And yes, it is expensive- probably $1,000.00 plus.

  Or, you could spend that money on herb and enjoy 4:20!

  congratulations to the spanish people, who voted the socialists to power as a protest against the conservative government's supporting bush's war on iraq, and for claiming the madrid bombs were acts of the eta nationalists and not an al-qaida attack because of the war on iraq.. so one government has fallen, and there are many more to come, bush.. who says these days ain't fun?

  Of course evolution, cosmology, physical laws have nothing to do with proving or disproving God's existence- 'tis but codswallop to a true believer?

  Methinks not, or maybe so somewhat.

  Whether or not evolution theory is ever proved accurate, it matters not (or very little, at least, depending on your theology) to a believer in God, agreed.

  Whether the Big Bang occurred or not, it matters not at all to a believer in God, agreed.

  But physical laws, biology, and the other complexities of creation are best explained by a Creator, God. That life, and the universe, and everything in it, came into existence, is most convincingly explained by a Creator, God.

  So, perhaps we've digressed into discussing how things came to be. My intent was to expose the inconsistencies and holes and opposing evidence for popularly held scientific beliefs. Why? Many theories, though popularly held, are later proven wrong. Evolution, Big Bang, and many physical law theories (flow of electrons, quark theory, etc) are not above question, controversy, or ridicule. Yet atheists often are such because they are "true believers" in the sciences, and place as much faith in these unproven theories as Theists do in our belief in God.

  It's the "my opinion is better than your opinion" argument. It carries no more weight than a good bar room quarrel. And that's essentially the way I see message boards- a virtual bar room. And you can easily find someone ready to debate ye.

  Now, on to the important stuff:

  Unless you promise to buy me a beer at this Aposta - debate that seems to be burgeoning at some undisclosed Scottish pub.

  May it come to be as ye have wished it. A Scottish (or Irish) pub suits me fine for this discussion. Who?s makin? the arrangements? Let?s shelf this virtual nonsense, eh?

  Good question about the order of creation, but I?m of the school that says the Bible is not a science textbook. The Genesis account was handed down as oral tradition until Moses scribed it hundreds of years later. Is it possible the order of creation was scrambled during that time as a memory aid, or just through re-telling, or because someone decided it made more sense that way? Sure.

  Ok. First, as usual we must define the word, in this case, "Angel". I will highlight those definitions that Jesus fits.
  

  DEFINITION:

  3. A ministering or guiding spirit.

  6. A person regarded as beautiful, good, innocent etc.

  My attempt is not to tell you what an Angel is in your definition, only to explain my definition, and why I define Jesus as an Angel.

  As I previously mentioned, Jesus is many other unique things as well, including mediator, the means through which God created all things (except Jesus and God himself), etc. But I repeat myself.

  So perhaps our disagreement is a semantic one on the issue of whether Jesus is an "Angel"?

  However, even if I accept an alternate definition, such as one where you categorize Angels, or Spirit Creatures:

  I've already stated that Jesus is second only to God (Hebrews 1), that he has authority over all the other Angels (or Spirit creatures, if you like), except for God, YHWH.

  We could then further clarify the situation in question (Is Jesus God):

  1 Corinthians 15:20-28: 20 But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. 22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. 23 But each in his own turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. 24 Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27 For he "has put everything under his feet." [3] Now when it says that "everything" has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. 28 When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.

  Philippians 2:9-11:

  9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
  and gave him the name that is above every name,
  10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
  in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
  11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
  to the glory of God the Father.

  So, your original intent to deify the Son is proven wrong. I trust you are familiar with the fact that the Trinity Doctine arose from the Nicean Council, roughly 300 years after Christ's death. Jesus Christ, and His Apostles, made his nature clear- not God. We could argue tthe Trinity from now 'till the cows come home. I'm well read and researched on the subject, and I frankly find it grasping at straws, full of convoluted reasoning. So I won't beat that one to death, because other threads have already done so, and the evidence is overwhelming that YHWH is God, not Jesus Christ, although he may rightly be called a god.

  Here's the good news- I can't see where believing either way afffects salvation. It's not a salvation issue, more a doctine of division. Christ promoted unity, so I've said enough already.

  The President of the United States is still a human. He's also an oilman. He's also a freemason. I still fail to see how anything you've posted thus far changes the basic fact that it is possible, even probable, that anything, including an Angel can be included in multiple sets or subsets, it's a plain ol' fact!

  So Jesus was an Angel.

  And Jesus is our mediator.

  And Jesus is God's Son.

  And Jesus is the Messiah,.

  And Jesus sits higher than the other Angels.

  Through Jesus everything came into existence (except YHWH and Jesus himself). Thus he holds a unique position above other Angels.

  Yet Jesus is an Angel, a messenger, at the same time a unique Angel, yet he was created, through whom everthing else was created.

  Jesus is YHWH's first born of all creation.

  YHWH is God.
