Otherwise... in 1972 a Watchtower magazine forbade married couples from full intimacies until in 1978 countless letters made the Watchtower heads who are over Jehovah's Witnesses admit to and rescind their policy of policing the bedroom. But few JWs realize they quickly, quietly reintroduced the policy by talks rather than state it clearly in writing although for example a May 1, 2002 Watchtower magazine article vaguely as usual but pointedly said JW husbands don’t insist on “degrading sexual practices.” Not only have Watchtower Elders Elders said intimacies between husband and wife "might even lead to expulsion from the congregation;" but other clergy as in the Mormons have also called marital intimacy "unholy" although the Song of Solomon (Canticles) says:
"A garden barred in is my sister, my bride (4:12), Your skin is a paradise (13) along with all the finest perfumes and a spring of gardens, a well of fresh water, and trickling streams (14-15), Awake O north wind and come in O south wind. Breathe upon my garden. Let its perfumes trickle. Let my dear one come into his garden and eat its choicest fruits. (16) "Eat O companions! Drink and become drunk with expressions of endearment... I have put off my robe. How can I put it back on? (5:1,3) "His cheeks are like a garden bed" (13), his lips are lilies dripping with liquid myrrh (13), everything about him is altogether desirable...my boy companion. (16) "My own dear one has gone down to his garden..to shepherd among the gardens and to pick lilies. I am my dear one's (6:2-3), To the garden of nut trees I had gone down to see the buds in the torrent valley (11). I am my dear one's and toward me is his craving (7:10), by our entranceways there are all sorts of the choicest fruits. (13)" Besides which Psalm 5:15 reads "Drink water out of your own cistern and tricklings out of the midst of your own well."
In March 2002 news erupted of rampant pedophilia coverups among Roman Catholic priests, Hare Krishnas, JWs, LDS, all groups with male-only clergy (read Romans 16:1) and decision-making from top-down rather than locally based. Perhaps leaders of such groups refine by fire those members who have natural marital intimacies because they themselves are busy-bodies with pedophilia they try to hide?
Christians only naturally desire to please their mates while thinking about loving them, not to do anything unnatural, for indeed God Himself has programmed us to desire enjoyable sex to help fulfill His will that we have joy and bond all the better with a common result being the additional joy of having children. So, indeed, let no imperfect man or organization come between married couples for such violates the sanctifying state of matrimony given to us by God Himself.
