We didn't have PCs or internet when I first hooked up with the witness some 20 plus years ago. I would have done the research and have saved myself a lot of hassle--it would have made a big difference. Education is our best defense and our now revenge upon the Org. (sorry I think evil thoughts sometimes)

It's making a difference.....
by undercover inthe nightmare of the wts is, more than ever, becoming a reality and is making a difference in how people research about the teachings and history of jws.
i'm speaking, of course, about the internet.. they call the period that we are living in the information age and that is more apparent with each passing day.
have you noticed how many new people are showing up at just this one site and saying they are leaving the jws because of the lies or saying they have been contacted by jws and maybe even studied and want to learn what they aren't telling?

after i sent that april 22nd letter to the gb, i went off on a tangent in my letter writing........why?
i noticed one day as i was pouring over some scriptures in revelation in my nwt reference version.....that the name "apollyon" was referenced with an "a".....hmmmmm....that set me thinking.....i hadn?t always been the type of person who has a tendency to "gloss over" or ignore the "bad" and see what is good in a person or situation, but the wts had surely pulled the "wool" over my eyes and i?d been duped into being an almost total "pollyanna" where their doctrines had been concerned, and consequently my family had been destroyed and i?d lost years of my life and valued friendships.

I only had one real study that I inherited. My "victim" later moved.
LOL victims is a good term for bible studies. Sad to say we were all victims of the WTBTS to one degree or another.

Amen to Danny,
Glad somebody's got the guts to speak out loud and clear. I think Danny speaks much of what we feel, but some of us don't have the strength to say it in those terms. Keep hitting them hard Danny--those bastards need to be put in their place. I am sorry you had to go through all the crap you did in your life, but take heart that you will help others not to experience the same pain caused by the WT Org.

Have you ever been asked by witnesses if you have the internet?
by JH inbeing inactive, not going to meetings, and having the internet is a nice combination.
the last time i went to a meeting, a brother asked me if i had the internet... first of all, it was none of his buisiness, so i answered, "do you have it"?
he said no.. i know elders who do have the internet, so what, big deal... so, it's ok for elders to have the internet and not ok for non elders to have it?.

I live out in the boondocks in an area where the witnesses are paranoid about internet. Some of them will only use it for email and a handful of them in the congo believed that naked women and apostates would pop up unannouced in windows before you can stop them. By that time it would be too late because that image would be forever recorded in your mind and it could be the beginning of the end for your spirtuality. I kid you not. I tried to tell them this is not the case, but they viewed me suspiciously.

My child's abuser tickles and plays with children after meetings.
by BLISSISIGNORANCE inyep..........that's what a sister told me today on the phone.. i emailed her because she is in the pedo's congregation and knows the family of the toddler i saw the pedo with.
i needed information and i knew she would be happy to speak to me.. after the initial pleasantries and chit chat, after her telling me how the convention talks brought out that the borg needs to be realistic with it's expectations of children, after expressing joy at my family's happiness since leaving the borg...................i asked her about the brother who's child was being pushed by the pedophile.
when she told me there are 2 kids in the family, a boy and a girl (a perfect package for the pedo), she asked me 'why all the questions?

Bliss, I am crying over this...I swear to God these people are insane. How far will these people go for with this insanity? This is what bothers me the most. I am sorry for your pain, but grateful that you are human and having normal reactions to this insanity . A JW in denial is a very sick individual. I know because I was one of them, but I had my limits and this issue is one of them.

WT 2003 CDROM - User agreement!
by qwerty injust borrowed a wtcd from a friend................ i carn't believe a "non" profit organisation can do this or rather put restrictions on the the coping of the wt cdrom.
isn't there literature distributed free?
then why is make the copying of the wt library for the benefit of declaring the "truth" wrong!

How Many Here Are "Technically" Still JWs???... Who's Not??

Mentally and physically out--totally, but they still have me in the books. Most JWs think of me as "being weak" or "discouraged." I now refuse to speak with any of them about "spiritual" matters. I am presently trying to recover and pull myself together and when my nerves heal up a bit I will probably get a little bolder about what I say.
