No...But if someone in the Org does some caring or charitable thing it is made out to be a really great thing that ONLY JWs do because we were the greatest most loving wonderful people on the planet. There are plenty outside of the Org--just normal people in this world who do all kinds of good works and charitable deeds, but they are deemed wicked, thus their works are not recognized as of any value. BUT if a JW does something charitable it is because they are one of Jehovah's witnesses and it is because of their loving brotherhood and Jehovah's great and exalted organization that they did it.

The key issues are quite simple
If they are so simple why did they write this long article to explain it all in such complicated detail? -

Country girl.
I am so sorry you are so sad. Of course you are grieving--this is a big loss for you and you are only human. Keep reaching out to everyone. there are many who are loving and supportive in this world and will offer you comfort. Take the best care of yourself as you can. Lots of rest and short walks and eat well as you are under a lot of stress in this process. Get some help, a good psycologist that can help you with the grieving process. Take care of yourself the best you can.
Lots of love, cybs

JW Mental Health
by Evesapple ini found these two references very interesting.....i reflected on the mentality of the witnesses in my old congregations in janesville, wisconsin....i realised they weren't a 'happy' people because they had the "truth", they were in truth happy because of being all medicated (prozac).

i put this in humour, but it makes me want to vomit hard
by in a new york bethel minute ini receieved this "poem" from some witness chick who sent it as a forward to myself and a whole bunch of other dubs.
my sister received it from someone else and i have other friends who received it from other sources.
im sure every young witness who has email has received it by now, and it's the most sickening, disheartening thing i have seen in a long time.

This little poem thingys used to make me feel pukey even when i was a JW, but now I couldn't even make it half way through that bit of inane writing. I still get these forwards in the mail from ones who are trying to "encourage me." I can barely read them anymore--I have one I was going to post--will do it later after my stomach settles down a bit. I remember a recent one about having nothing to fear because now I am on Jehovah's team! It was a chearful little ditty--a rah rah rah for the Org...

Circuit Overseer Explains How The Internet Is A Trap!
by minimus inmy mother told me that the co gave a talk on how a spider spins his web and it can take a very long time for the web to be made but just like that--- before you know it---it can catch its prey and devour it.
it's the same with the world wide web, the internet.
there are reports, according to the co, that in new york, a very prominent "anointed" man was disfellowshipped and he has his owm website where he has answered many jws questions.

Curious as to how these dub's were supposedly "taken advantage of." Whatever. Sounds like newest scare tactic.
Black sheep on your comment earlier...
It always bothered me how we were always warned by the Org in such a way that made us feel as if we didn't have any sense at all. It was insulting to me at times to be classified as one so naive and foolish. I supposed they thought if we were so easily fooled into being JWs maybe we would be easily fooled in the other direction too. I was a fooled fool at the time--I admit it now.

I have heard the stats that about 85 percent of the young JWs are leaving the Org. It doesn't happen overnight. I couldn't stand to watch the teenagers in our congo--one of the reasons I left. I am a mom and I got out with my daughter. The kids all sat there with pained expressions on their faces during every meeting--it was so obvious they did not want to be there. And why should they--it was boring and tedious and they were constantly being torn apart from the platform because of no other reason than being young. I often thought that the old guys in Brooklyn were jealous because they were old and had lived joyless lives without a youth themselves. I think young people today are smart in many ways and can see through much of the WT BS. Its your life--explore it and enjoy it and don't let anyone rob you of your youth.

Blue...
I am so sorry you had to experience this. My baby sis is still in the Org and ignoring her apostate sister right now too and yes, it hurts. We can only hope that someday they awaken from their WT trance and we can have a relationship again one day. You showed her by being at the wedding that you are practicing unconditional love and are the more forgiving one--maybe she will see that one day too. It's OK to cry Blue, but be brave too and focus on the healthy part of your family.
Take good care

Turn away from these wicked ways!
by Proud Witness inwell as you would have guessed from my name, i am a proud witness and i feel obliged to preach to you about the promises that our wonderful creator, jehovah god, has promised each and every one of us, of any race or background.
i know that you already know what he has told us through his word, but i am curious to wonder why you have chosen to jump off the narrow road which leads to everlasting life.
is it because you have had a bad experience in god's organization?

Proud Witness,
You are very proud to assume that everyone here is leading a life of "biblical" wickedness. I may no longer be attending 5 meetings a week in a room with walls but no windows, nor am I preaching to people to invite them into joining the others who sit there in a rooms with walls but no windows, but I am not leading a life of gross immorality.
I will warn you though Proud Witness that in order to remain a strong JW don't think about Jesus too much, OK? If you start looking too closely at his life you will find that he practiced unconditional love and compassion towards all of humankind--something not promoted in the Org. I was a 20 plus year member of the Org and in the end my "sin" was to practice "unconditional" love towards humankind--the kind that Jesus exemplified in his life. I was always taught not to do anything that went against my Christian trained conscience, so I can no longer be a JW because my conscience will not allow it.
