Whats the most unhealthiest place you've ever ate at?

there's this place here in town called "babe's".

its soooooooooooooooo good, but the only drawback is that the hamburger is more grease and fat than it is meat.

they'll actually take the dripping fat with the spatula and throw it back in the burger and start smashing it in.

A Wendy's restuarant in NEPA. I ate there and about five minutes later had a severe allergic reaction to something in their food -- a reaction I'd never had before. So, I figure it was just unsanitary cooking conditions that caused the reaction. Needless to say I'll never be eating there again!!!

Also when I was a teenager I worked at a high-class restuarant, formal dining, which will have to remain un-named, and they reused partially eaten bread, butter and salad dressing left over by the customers. It was quite disgusting!

Well this doesn't relate to JWism, but my ex-fiancée, who had just told me she'd been cheating on me for over a month, told me that it wasn't fair to her for me to be mad at her for cheating on me! Apparently I was supposed to be thrilled or something?!

What to do with the old publications?

i know that this question has been asked and answered but i can not find the thread.. now that i do not have any family trapped in the cult, i do not have any interest in the seach for goofy proof to a goofy religion.

i know that their own material is the best weapon against them.

who would want a 37 year collection of books and bound volumes?

After I left the borg, I took every publication I owned, probably 50 plus bound volumes of the Watchtower and Awake, tons of Kingdom Ministries and brochures and loose magazines and at least a 100 other books, some dating well back to Rutherford's early days as WTS President and chucked them all in a dumpster. It was an emotional response to my desire to cleanse myself from all the lies of the WTS. And it felt great. Now I kind of wish I hadn't done it, not because I'd want any of those books, but because a lot of other people (apostate borg researchers) do. Maybe something constructive could have come from someone using the WTS' b.s. publications against them.

I think I agree in principle with your statement and I definitely agree with your emotive response. But I'd just have a word of caution, sometimes laws like that have unintended negative consequences. For instance, if a child knew that there would be criminal proceedings if they told anyone about the abuse they suffered they might be less likely to report it at all to anyone.

That's the way it was for me. I was in counseling through most of my early teens because I was so messed up (suicidal) by the sexual abuse I endured as a preteen and I never told any of my counselors about the sexual abuse, because of fear and because I knew if I did they were legally obligated to report it and then I'd have to go through it all again in a criminal trial. All I want(ed) to do was forget it. I don't know. I don't have any answers. But sometimes laws like that keep people from getting help.

Should obesity be a DF offense?

a headline on today's usa today says that obesity is the #1 killer.

if being fat is such a health risk (like cigarettes), why don't the jws disfellowship people for being obese?.

i know in some cases, people gain weight due to medical problems that are hard to control.
