How many "annointed" JWs have there been since Russell started?
by True North inhas the wt org.
published any figures on how many faithful "annointed" they think there've been since russell got things started back in the 1800s?
would be interested in subtracting that number from 144,000 to see how many faithful christians the jws say there were in the previous 1800 years or so.

Where is my study copy of the WATCHTOWER???
by boa ink, so i'm not really lookin for it so settle down please everyone!.
but really, am i the only one that would be tripping on watchtowers and awakes and when it came to sunday morning and you had to get your shite together tout de suite , there wasn't the right wt to be found anywhere?!?.
just me have this happen folks???.

heh heh, I definitely was of the 'faker' class if I had forgotten my copy - i'd sooner use something else than ask for a correct one.
Of course, there is the old 'does anyone need a copy' at the beginning of the meeting, which no doubt is done to try and be helpful, but also tells everyone who the poor saps are who forgot.

I remember regularly getting in a unholy rage, stomping around looking for the required rag, and that there were tons of wt mags for the previous studies and the ones after but not the one needed! Was it God trying to save us from the WTS? (snick snick)

i'm wondering how many pieces of literature are actually distributed to the public.
not how many pieces are reported placed, but actually placed.

was a good dubbie in 'fear' of Jehovah, so I never faked hrs or placements and was a bit surprised when a friend said he put in 2 hrs on the report 'just to keep the elders off his back'.
I did use several of the 'tricks of the trade' when pioneering to make the hrs stretch though - which is of course a dishonesty in its own right.
I've also left older mags at NH doors - we had a good ol' time with this and called it 'sloughing' although I prefer to spell it 'sluffing' lol
An interesting twist to this Farkel is that i've been 'inactive' (certainly not in the bedroom snick snick) from the org for a coupla years but only 'left it all' in the last coupla months, and in that inactive time, I 'witnessed' a few times, probly several hrs worth and NEVER REPORTED THE TIME. LOL!
we always had a shiteload of extra mags and even now the damn things get underfoot - i'll be going to the po to get the order cancelled very soon. Funny though, when you needed the sunday mags, they were never to be found?

Garybuss and SS, thanks for the comments that have a 'ring of truth' to them for me.
Interesting idea X but I agree with some of the others that it could be taken different ways although I like the direct connection with the idea and common words of serpents and what father would do such a thing - the reason it was done in the former of course is different than the reason it wouldn't be done in the latter - still, neat find!

If you're a Christian, and since cyber sex isn't specifically mentioned in the Bible nor is masterbation, then it seems to me to come down to your understanding of related Bible principles which should guide your conscience. Of course the org would make rules on this, likely dead set against it - hell, they don't even really want you on the internet!
Since I can't truly say I'm a Christian (don't know what i am yet), then to me it would be all about honesty and fidelity with my wife. Thus, if I'm doing something in secret of this nature, I would agree with some of the others that this would be wrong because it would show a lack of respect and knowledge for my life partner.
Still, where is the line drawn between flirting, getting hot, and getting off as being out and out wrong?
Thats a tuff one cuz i like the first one and the wife knows me, soooooo, any ladies want to cyber-flirt???
