When you left how long did it take you to get out of the JW mind set ??

how long before something happened (i:e 9/11) before you stopped thinking the big a was coming??.

i read 7 news papers a week it took me a long time to read about some big bad event without thinking this is it the big a is about to happen now i read it for what it is.. what about you.

I didn't make it out the first time. I returned 5 years later. 2 to 3 years later I exited for good, though, it took 5 years to get that little Watchtower demon off my shoulder.

Freemasons, tied to JW's?

i have had some history with studying with them.

On the same note. There is no proof that Russell was a Mason. He says he is a Moson in his speach, then later says he is not.

How many politicians have been caught lying? Clinton said "I did not have sexual relations with that woman," and was then cought lying.

I personally feel you cannot say Russel was not a Mason just because he once said he was not. As well, you cannot say he was a Mason, becuase there is no documented proof.

We probably will never know.... unless...

my dissfelowshipped hub not happy about our child visiting grandma

i have finally got grandma to agree to seeing her grandchild , and hubby does not want it , he thinks that if she cant be bothered to make time for her then i should not chase it up , this is his mother , im not a dub , i can see his point but think it important to try and keep in contact .

any advice?

I suppose I'm not getting the full picture, You husband's mother does not shun him, but she wants no relationship with her grandchild?

I still say keep the child way from her.

You are only creating a relationship which will be destroyed when the child gets older and does not want to belong to the Grandmother's cult.

Then the child will suffer a relationship loss simular to a loss in death. The child will wonder what he did wrong, why he isn't good enough, why does GM hate me, etc. All because GM has turned her back on the child just as she has turned her back on her own son!

If it is your husband's mother, why you don't you consider his feelings and concerns? He knows his mother better than you.

it just so happens, her speach will take place on the anniversary of her, recalled memory, court victory, crook v. murphy, in 1994.. she will be speaking at the church across from the un.

Alarming statement in today's study article in WT...

" this in the context of a wt discussing the israelites' exodus from egypt and how jehovah had them into a position where there seemed "no way out".

I've expected something like this. I was told a few years ago that the GB would tell the R&F to eat a certain diet, etc. I personally don't think the Tower will be complete until they all gather somewhere and wait for the big A. The instructions will be very distructive.
