And you were one of those couples who got married at one? How awesome. There was a couple who got married while I was at the Sandals resort and it was awesome to see. Everyone on the beach whooping and hollering for them afterwards !! Sounds like you had a wonderful time !!

Yes, we got married in a gazebo overlooking the ocean......it was so wonderful. We had people watching the wedding from their balconies above the gazebo. That was cool. My bouquet was tropical flowers and the gazebo had the same flowers all over it. I even had my dad and husband in tuxedos and I wore a shortsleeved wedding dress with the train and all.... It was great spending time there before the wedding and then after for the honeymoon (even though I did get stung by a jellyfish while snorkeling ). We want to go back next year to celebrate our 2 year anniversary.

Ooops, sorry confused, didn't mean to take this thread in another direction...hehe, you know how women are when they start talking about their wedding.

hey hon- the walmart link you put in that thread is all consuming.

it takes you to walmart's website and doesn't let you back except if you can grab the active topics quickly enough to click totally out of the thread.. can you take it out of there please so the thread can continue?.

Family Vacation ideas needed

hey folks we are planning a family vacation for feb and wondered if you would share your experiences.

our best vacation was in st. john usvi a few years ago, but can't quite swing that this winter.

warm weather and good snorkeling are the goals, although the kids are interested in a cruise.

Ocho Rios Jamaica was great too !!

So is Montego Bay, Jamaica. My husband and I were married there a little over a year ago. The place we stayed was couples only but they have a sister resort, Beaches, that is for families. It is great and all the food, drink and water sports are included.

i would like to thank william powell,jgnat,rabbit and shera for making me feel welcome my first day here and not jumping to any paranoid conclusions because i have lurked here for a while and had to change my old alias because for some reason it would not log in.lol.

( i got some very strange responses my first day here).

i was also the laugh of the place for a few people here because i accidentally resurrected a very old post (couldnt see the itty bitty tiny numbers of the date)i guess they did not notice (except for one) that i was a newbie and i am getting use to the features here.i guess they forgot what its like to be new.. .

Its always packed and they are always way understaffed..

That is why I absolutely hate going to Wal-mart......I'll do anything to get out of it...even pay a little bit more at another store.

Children at the meetings...

i've noticed quite a few "meetings" threads lately and thought i would add another one.

i remember when i was young, 8-12 years old, my mother would see a sister take her baby or children to the back.

my mom would get up and go back there with her.

Desi, after a hard day's work, rushing home, feeding baby, getting ready for meeting and finally getting there and the baby fusses...well, sometimes it was nice that a friend would take her and walk in the back with her.......it was nice to be able to finally just 'sit down' and worry about just me.
