Island Woman:
What about unconditional love?
a number of weeks ago, i mentioned how my niece was seeking reinstatement.
well, after all was said and done, the elders allowed her back in.
my brother and his wife were giving her a little "coming back" party with about a total of 35 guests.

yes, folks ... i was shocked, horrified, and dumbfounded by what took place this evening.
a chapter right out of george orwell's 1984 ... big brother listens in for quality assurance.
even my radical right-wing conservative republican sensibilities were shaken to the ground.
The most dangerous man in the U.S.? Ashcroft

i think this is wonderful!
i would be interested in hearing everyone's opinion on this.
Aztec,
I think this is wonderful and about time. Let us hope U.S. will do the same soon. Kudos to Canada!!
at walter reed medical center in washington dc recently the sergeant major of the army, jack tilley, was with a group of people visiting the wounded soldiers.
he saw a special forces soldier who had lost his right hand and suffered severe wounds of his face and side of his body.
the sma wanted to honor him and show him respect without offending, but what can you say or do in such a situation that will encourage and uplift?

Yeru,
Even if your little anecdote about Bush were true, it doesn't say anything about the kind of man he is; it only shows what he did for for several seconds in time.
as many of you may be aware, i am disfellowshipped and live in the same city as my daughter...we work a block away from each other in downtown vancouver.
occasionally, i drop flowers off at the reception desk for her, with my home card, my business card, etc.
well, today was the day when i decided to take it a step further.
Oh, Estee. My heart goes out to you. What a wonderful, spiritual and loving person you are.
I came to this site by way of having an ex- daughter-in-law who went back into the dubs after having been df-ed ten years prior. Her appearance has changed so much since she has been back in. She looks like s***. Not only does she have that pallor you speak of, but her once-beautiful hair looks dead and she has gained an enormous amount of weight.
I feel for you because I have a seven year-old granddaughter. I am heartsick to see what has happened to her and my greatest fear is that she will soon be estranged from my son and me.
The very best wishes from my inner goddess to yours!!
being gay is a choice by david cornwell
a different perspective on the old argument
have you ever heard a person make this statement?
I find it interesting the amount of energy that ISP, and others who are in his corner, put into trying to show that gays and lesbians are choosing to be "that way." By that, do you mean that they are choosing to have folks like you deriding them, harrassing them, sometimes killing them? If it bothers you so much that there are homosexual homosapiens, perhaps you ought to examine your reasons why you feel so stronlgy. I don't know your professional/scientific background. Methinks you ought to do a bit more research if you think all the evidence points to no genetic/biological reasons for gayness.
.
i would be interested in hearing a few.
for the life of me (pun intended) i can't think of any good ones.. robyn
Dear Robdar,
I hope you can cheer up. You don't know me, but I have enjoyed you posts. (And politics!!) I love outrageous people and I think you are one. Hang in. I'd be happy to lend you an ear.

P.S. Farting in the bathtub is another possible reason.
ok, here's the deal.. way back when i got df'd i kinda went wild.
started riding motorcycles, wore rock group t-shirts, got 3 earrings in my left ear, got a tattoo, and grew my hair long.
i had to cut it once back in '93 because my employer said to.
Go ahead and cut it if you want to. Please yourself. However....it will be much easier to take care of when it is shorter. IMO, you will be so much sexier looking and will be attractive to soooo many gorgeous women, at the same time getting rid of the one you want to dump now.
