keep in mind i was never a jw.

in christendom's churches, i am used to the breaking of the bread and the wine; crackers or loaf, chalice or teeny plastic cups, grape juice or the real thing.

i squeeze my eyes shut and imagine the sacrifice jesus made for us; consider his body for a moment, both the one he sacrificed, plus my fellow church members, also part of his body.

I am sure this isnt the first time that satire such as this has been displayed but this is the most perfect example of subtle irony I have ever seen. I laughed my ass off and I should be used to this sort of thing by now.

i was talking to another apostate heathen bastard ex-dub the other day and he told me his son...also ex-dub...is taking a college course in religions.

he said his son mentioned he learned of love and unity among many beliefs he's learning about.

i changed the subject and it made me think of the love and unity i have personally seen when i was doing the lord thing at various churches.

Thats the only example I could think of. That is there only example of how they have love. The irony is that going to war is an act of love if you are on the right side. You are risking life and limb. You have everything to lose and nothing to gain as an individual. The people that stay at home reap every benefit from the sacrifice of the soldier. They just leave out the bravery and love in the sacrifice that goes into jumping in front of a foreign army for your sake and right to then call that person unloving. If all "christendom" is false beacause "they all go to war" then all JWs are doomed because they are all "cowards." (Rev 21:8)
If JWs dont want to go to war more power to them. But condemning people that sacrifice for them is the highest form of cowardice.

I wonder how they would spin that? How would they squeak out of that question without appearing to be the self-serving unpatriotic hypocrites they truly are?
I wish I could say that their lying over the blood issue angered me the most. I wish I could say that the most anger I felt toward the WTS was over them parading there child victims of WTS blood policy boiled me the most. But I have to say it is their absolute hypocrisy over military service that pisses me off to no end.
And here is the insidious genius behind it. No rational person who believes the bible (plz no oxymoron debates) can say that military service in and of itself is unChristian. Yet they have taken such advantage of a matter of concience that when all else fails they can pull the "everyone else goes to war" accusation. Even more infuriating is that they even lie in the accusation. The accusation breaks down if it were true. They can only truthfully accuse people of not condemning everyone that engages in military service.
"Those rotten soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen. How dare they take up arms and push the Germans back into Germany. How dare they liberate France, Poland and the Jehovah's Witness holocaust survivors. I can't wait until Jehovah makes them pay for being part of the world and going to war. Ha, they call themselves Christians too. They all go to war and kill eachother. So satanic of them. Im glad lots of them got their guts spilled all over the shores of those beaches. Thats what they get."

Back in like 1988-89 there was this 30s something couple whose house we would have the book study at. They were not married. They lived like that for a couple years at least. YOU KNOW they were "fornicatin" but they were in good standing and no one gossipped. I dont understand why for the life of me. Now I dont have anything against what they were doing and if things were going bump in the night more power to them but WHERE IS THE CONSISTENCY?!?!?!?!
