  That is a VERY interesting post. But I have one question. Could you please tell me how you know that Rutherford was an alcoholic, took a mistress, etc., and where I can find this information, if it is factual? Thanx.

  The CO's visit

  this past week was the visit of our circuit overseer.

  i know what you are thinking so before i post some of his comments that i personally found interesting, i only went to keep peace in the family and not give rise to suspicion about my true feelings.

  so with that said, here are some things that grabbed my attention.. 1) his talk thursday nite was about being successful and how the world's view of success is far different than the organizations.

  Well, that is definately very interesting!!! I have been waiting to hear some new news. My mother is still in, but won't discuss anything from the hall with me, being as she's 'not allowed to'. I guess they feel the heat on their backs now, huh? Thanx for the great post.

  advice needed--please respond

  this is a question my df mother would like me to post for her:.

  would it be morally right to go back to the jws, even though she doesn't feel it is god's org?

  she would do this in order to speak with her life long friends and her youngest daughter, all of whom are quite emotionally distraught due to her dfing.

  Lisa,

  One thing that I must first say is the decision is ultimately your mom's and she will be the one responsible for her choice. My advice, "to thine own self be true" I don't think anyone is worth being fake for. Remind her that she may be putting herself into unecessary turmoil. And besides, she won't be able to keep up the front forever. Eventually she will slip, and then she will have to endure the same horrible process again. I wish her luck.

  these words were translated as either presence [parousia], coming [echomai] or arrival [eltho] in the new world translation.

  but all we are saying is that the word ...can, can, can mean "coming", a simple "coming" of a person.

  we remember jesus christ made an initial visit, or had a first coming, to inspect the temple for god, as the messenger of the covenant.

  Are you SERIOUS? They are destroying all the pre '50s books??? OMG!!! Now I am never going to be able to show my mother all of the crazy things they've said!!! I guess they realize that people are doing their own investigations, and realizing the truth real fast. Thanx for the post (warning).

  the study article of rejoice in the knowledge of jehovah stresses the importance and benefit of gods word that is found in the bible.

  in deed, if jehovahs witnesses are doing anything right, it is the fact that they are turning peoples attention towards the bible and the rewards and treasures that can be had when applying its wise counsel.. if the matter had stopped here, then all is well.

  but that is not the case.. starting in paragraph 7, under the subtitle the light becomes brighter the writer points to jesus efforts in combating jewish traditions and describes how the gospels were added.
