I think it's pitiful. Absolutely pitiful! Any that are scurrying back because of the terrorist attacks, is sadly mistaken. Do they really think that if God actually exists, and the JW's have "the truth", that God is going to be fooled? Of course not! If God is what everyone says he is, then he can read into hearts, and you will not be saved because you run back out of fear. Those who left, for whatever reasons, already made their decision.

But, personally....I don't believe any of it, and if it turns out that this is the GT, and the end comes....I just want one to ask God one ? before he sends me plumeting into Gehenna.....How the hell were we supposed to believe it was the truth?....everyone and their mother claimed to be the truth, and every single religion on the face of this planet has the same flaws.

Special Meeting - New Work Announced

it is reported that a special meeting has been held of all the district overseers in the usa and the new york city circuit overseers at which it was announced that the field ministry would now be changed until further notice, effective immediately.

for the time being no literature is to be offered or the suggested offer.

the publishers are to advise each householder that due to recent events we are not engaging in our regular work, we are offering comfort where needed from the bible to help cope with the tragedy.

i am wondering if anyone knows where i can get a copy, or download a copy of pastor russell's sermons, and "the time is at hand"..... i need them for ammo...i am trying to show a witness friend the truth about the truth, but she wants to see original documents...can anyone help?

Thanx a mill guys....I have this list of WTS Chronology, and I am trying to get the pages listed for these quotes, to show them to a witness friend...she is having a lot of trouble in the hall....the elders basically have split up her family...but she keeps making excuses for them....i'm trying to show her the real truth about the truth....any more sites?

I have been told by several Arab-Christian sources, that Muslims hate Christians, look upon them and their nations as eniemies, and wish that all Christians be killed. I have been told stories of unbelievable acts of horror committed against non-Muslims, in their own countries, against people who are not Muslim. So from what I am told, by people who live in those Arab lands, I would think they know best because they have suffered through it.

Anyway....Rock, I would go with this approach.....you should search the forum database for the molestation by elders stories, print them, and read them to mom.

For Dad, you should tell him or show him the list of WTS Chronology, I am sure someone here can provide the link.

Those are the two things that I think are the most shocking.

for far too many years we americans have paid our taxes and gone about our peaceful lives believing we lived in the best and safest country in the world.. september 11, 2001 claimed the title of the day that will live in infamy.

the attack on pearl harbor must now relinquish that title, as tuesday's attack was undeniably worse than that military attack on a naval base.

millions of people watched in horror as the second plane crashed into the world trade center tower on live television and thousands of innocent civilians-americans-died before a worldwide audience.. terrorist hijackers, some receiving their pilot training in america.

I think that everyone here has a point. It is a hard call to make...we have no real concrete proof that it was the Arabs or Bin Laden, but he has said years ago that he would bomb the World Trade center. I understand the logic behind the US gov having him at the top of the list. But who is to say that there wasn't inside help? It could be that we have ourselves another Timothy McVeigh, who was working along with Bin Laden, if it was him. I feel very sorry for the Arabic and Middle Eastern people who will have to suffer the racial backlash from this event. Countless millions of foriegners who are US citizens, will now be getting fingers pointed and nasty remarks, just because they are walking down the street.

However, I do feel that once the gov finds out who did this, they should fry! Live by the bomb, die by the bomb...but I don't think that innocent civilians should be compromised, even though that was the case here.

I think that our main problem is Bush. He is a complete moron, and everyone is sitting around waiting for him to make decisions. I have a feeling he will make the wrong ones...just like his dad did when he let Hussein go free.
