  my best friend has recently been "marked" for associating with a "worldly guy" what advice can you give me to pass onto her?

  i am not a jw, never been one, so looking for guidance.

  Thank you for the feedback, do you know where the biblical backing for this treatment comes from? In my mind this is emotional abuse.

  Advice on Waiting for Jehovah

  hi guys, .

  in discussions with a current jw, they told me that have big concerns with regards to the 607 bce date, but they are waiting on jehovah for refining.

  any suggestions on questions to pose to them based on their feedback?.

  Hey guys! I am not a JW, never been one, but linked to a born in JW via family. Last week I received an email from an anonymous person. (Fake name, gmail account) literally no clue who it is. Attached on the email was the Raymond Franz book Crisis of Conscious. I have read the book in the past. I was wondering if I should tell my JW family member that I received this email, read this book and it blew my mind, they really need to read it ASAP. Or will this do more damage than harm? I look forward to your feedback. Thank you!

  JW Personality used as an excuse....

  i had a discussion with a current jw member of +- 30 years, we got chatting about how you can be sure your faith is right and what checks can be done.

  i then suggested looking at ex members view points and literature.

  her response was her "i am not someone who takes initiative to look online at stuff, i doesn't feel my personality needs me look at outside view points" in summary she was saying her personality type is not interested in looking at other views.

  Do you think i should just tell her she is in a destructive cult? maybe this will encourage her to take a look or think...

  so tomorrow is going to be my last encounter with a jw friend of mine for various reasons on her side.

  (long story).

  i have spent a lot of time discussing various concerns about the jw teachings, but havent been able to make any progress in helping her to question or doubt the teachings.

  So tomorrow is going to be my last encounter with a JW Friend of mine for various reasons on her side. (Long Story)

  I have spent a lot of time discussing various concerns about the JW teachings, but haven’t been able to make any progress in helping her to question or doubt the teachings. Been through, 1914, 607, 1975, child abuse, false dates, Russel, Captives of a concept, UN, worship Jesus, New light, mediator, 144000

  
  

  I am desperate to leave a lasting impression on her? Any suggestions? Ideas? I truly appreciate your time, thank you!

  does anyone know if the wt still claims they were appointed in 1919?

  is there proof of this appointment?

  Does anyone know if the WT still claims they were appointed in 1919? Is there proof of this appointment? Any ideas where I can find out how they get to this date? I know there was "new light" in July 2013 about 1918 / FDS etc. The reason I am asking this is that my best friend is a JW, I have spent a lot of time and energy trying to help her see TTATT! no success in 12 years, but still trying... any ideas around 1919? as she is currently researching 1919 to discuss with me. Any advice would help, thank you for your time.
