  Maybe the Russian authorities have been reading the reports in the American press of the law suits against the WTBTS.

  Maybe the Russian authorities have been reading the personal accounts on JWD (and other sites) of the heartache and sorrow cause directly through involvement with the WTBTS.

  Maybe the Russian authorities are brave enough to stand up and defend their people against such groups as the WTBTS.

  If not maybe this will at least let people know what they are really risking if they listen to that sweet little old lady or smart dressed young man on their doorstep selling the WTBTS literature.

  For those who dont agree

  would you allow Osama Bin Laden to proselytize in your area? If not, why not.

  just this afternoon cnn started running this news clip at the bottom of their screen.

  does anyone know what it's about?

  are there abuse/molestation cases against the wtbts in russia?

  All I can say is WELL DONE RUSSIA.

  This isnt about civil liberties or freedom, this is about a country trying to protect its people.

  I hope this ruling is upheld when it goes to appeal.

  If the Russian (or any authorities) want to see the real ramifications of what being a JW really are they should read this board. The heartbreak is here for all to see. I am sure that most here would be more than willing to tell their experiences to those charged with these legal decisions.

  If only this could stop the spread of this evil group. I wish that 20 years ago the UK would have been willing and or able to do the same.

  Am I being walked all over?

  since being da'd a few years back i haven't had any real contact with my jw family.

  i've accepted this and moved on, just like most of us have.

  just recently i've been contacted by them whenever they need something.

  Yes you are being walked all over.

  The real question is DO YOU MIND.

  If in doubt do the loving thing and you will never feel bad about your self whatever they do to you.

  Maybe you could try for a little more involvement such as a meal together to see just how the land lies, it could give more of a clue to their real feelings about you.

  Whatever you choose do the thing that you can live happily with.

  Hostility or Violence during Field Service

  Twi sisters in our car group where having quite a good conversation with the female householder.

  After a few minutes someone else from the inside the house came to the door and became very abusive and unpleasant it ended up with him shouting and then slamming the front door VERY HARD.

  There was a crash and a sound of breaking glass. One of the sisters remembered there was a mirror on the wall by the front door.

  They left quickly.

  Several in our cong where bitten by dogs, chased by geese etc. As we had some very rural territory we chose descretion and never opened gates that had guard dogs signs, just wandered on and enjoyed the country walk.

  i'll bet that most could not explain why jws believe that 1914 was a marked year, the watchtower definition of the faithful & discreet slave, not accepting blood transfusions, the differences between porneia, loose conduct and uncleanness, etc..........

  Yep could do it then and could still do it now if I put my non-questioning dub personna on.

  Could do it better then my sil who is still in.
