Lern,to/spel;and "punctuate"!!!!!

maybe i'm tired but........at the risk of seeming overly critical,there have been a number of posts on this forum where the spelling and punctuation have been abysmal.i have no problem with the occasional error but the subjects here tend to be somewhat more complicated and it makes it too much of an effort if i have to keep re-reading things to figure out what the missing word was or where the sentence ends.one academic said it was no big deal as even his professors were poor spellers!well i've got news for you guys, if you don't sharpen up your grammer i'm not even going to try to give you the courtesy of figuring out what you're talking about.

Home from Circuit Assembly

as some of you knew, my circuit assembly was this weekend (dec 24 and 25).

the theme was "clothe yourselves with the new personality".

i guess the society has to reinforce the idea of humility, because apparently, you can't mislead haughty people.. from the sound of the accounts report, people are voting with their wallets.. nothing particularly egregrious was said.. luckily my mother had a fever this morning, so we got to leave at lunch.

Does it shock you that there are so few people on this board?

i read once that the witnesses loss between 30,000-50,000 members in the united states alone each year.

i know the numbers for worldwide exits, must be even larger and times that by all the decades of people leaving and you come to a fairly nice size number.

i realize some of these decreases are deaths, losing track of correct totals or a percentage returning right back into the congregation.

I know 2 elders and their wives/children that left after I showed them the info on the U.N. that I printed off the U.N. website. They just got on with their lives and are busy with work, etc. They just don't really care about the JW's or issues that come up...they faded successfully and hope to keep it that way. I didn't post for a long time...just didn't feel the need. Then I read about a child abuse situation in this area and could not keep my mouth shut about it...one thing lead to another and I started posting here...a little at first and more as time has gone by. I will have to agree that you need skin as thick as a rhino's behind to post here!

Childlessness: Missing Part of My Humanity

somehow it just occured to me, i've no idea where this came from all of a sudden, but not being one who's ever had children of their own, i feel the missing portion of my humanity has been lost in this.

those who are biological mothers and fathers have a kinship with thier children that defies the normal comprehesion of those who've never had them.

it came to me while watching a movie tonight, minority report with tom cruise.

When my 21 yr old was 18, he went out and bought an old 70's cadillac...white/red velvet interior! (I knew he bought it because he knew he was going to wreck it and felt safer driving around in a tank!) One night he came in my bedroom, woke me up to tell me that he was going to Mexico and was driving that car. I told him it wouldn't make it, but he took off anyway. He did make it across the border and then the car started smoking, he was going about 20 mph and the car caught on fire. He had to jump out with only his shorts and shoes on...no shirt. He had his passport in his pocket, but lost everything else. Of course he calls me and wants me to wire money. I asked him where he was and he didn't know the name of the town...so it took him another day to find that out. He wanted to fly home but I decided that he needed to learn a better lesson, so I bought him a bus ticket. It took him 5 days on the bus to get home...he hasn't been far from home since.

That was only 1 of a 1000 stories I have to tell about this kid. Always had to learn the hard way....and still learning...

My oldest son never gave me a moments trouble...very nice guy still!!! You just never know what you are going to get!

the domain "watchtower.ca" has been transferred to wts (i assume they will have it pointing to borg.org watchtower.org asap).

my copies of the site have been destroyed, the files deleted, and my wt library cd has been destroyed, in accordance with the settlement agreement which will afford a "discontinuance" of their suit against me.

i had da'd shortly before.. a year ago today, dec 25, 04, was hell for me.

i was already an atheist, but had not da'd yet.
