2 More Miners Die
by simplesally ini feel so sorry for these guys.
the mining industry is so dangerous and yet so many men in those areas choose to mine for a living because they pay is so great in comparison to other jobs.
what i don't understand is why they don't have better safety equipment or life saving packs down in the mines!!

Why doesn't OSHA get involved and make them provide more safety measures??? I agree that there are a number of ways to improve the chances of staying alive in case of a cave in, but it seems the owners are to greedy to implement them!!! This is getting ridiculous!

The language Christ and the people around him spoke and wrote was Aramaic - a Semitic language related to Hebrew and Arabic but without a modern form as both of those languages now have. What Christians of all persuasions have used as scripture for two millenia were translations from Greek for the most part and then translations made of translations. None were from Aramaic until the last few years. These recent new translations directly based on the Aramaic plus the incredible discoveries since the WWII of the ancient scrolls unearthed in jars in Egypt and Israel create a radical new vision of the message - a message that was radical in its own time and is still so in ours. In Aramaic, God is a birther, sin means "falling short," and it is our unity with each other that we are most like God.
THE ARAMAIC PRAYER OF JESUS
The Lord's Prayer as translated from the Aramaic by Neil Douglas-KlotzO, Birther of the Cosmos, focus your light within us -- make it useful
Create your reign of unity now
Your one desire then acts with ours,
As in all light,
So in all forms,
Grant us what we need each day in bread and insight:
Loose the cords of mistakes binding us,
As we release the strands we hold of other's guilt.
Don't let surface things delude us,
But free us from what holds us back.
From you is born all ruling will,
The power and the life to do,
The song that beautifies all,
From age to age it renews.
I affirm this with my whole being -

Had a really great time yesterday...The Biltmore Estate always impresses me no matter how often I go. It was such an amazing feat to build a house like this during this time period. They have now opened up the 4th floor which was not open in previous years and the views of the surrounding countryside and mountains are breathtaking. Also, I love the huge indoor pool and bowling alley in the basement area...the first ever in a house!!! Asheville is a very quaint/picturesque charming town in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Loved it!!!
Later on today, I plan on watching the Panthers WIN the NFC championship...we're having a small group over. There will be 10 Panther fans and 1 Seahawks fan! Go Panthers!!!!

Contorted Irony
by Farkel init pains me to see all these topics trying to figure out whether a god exists or not.. it is not possible to figure it out.
it's like taking chicken soup when one is sick: hey!
it won't hurt you!.

Going in a different direction here...I was watching the NFL interviews for the upcoming games on Sunday. I was kind of surprised at all the players and coaches saying that the reason for their being there was due to their faith in God. (Most of them gave God credit for their success.) During the games I notice that quite a few players go to the sidelines and pray...they seem to sincerely believe that God is helping them. Most of these guys have been to college and so are familiar with the "no God" concept. Why do you think that so many have such a strong faith? Do you think that the mental meditation is what helps them to play better, but they attribute it to God? Love to hear your comments!!!

One of the best things to take for stomach flu/virus is Activated Charcoal---that you get at the herb store. (Follow directions on bottle, until symptoms clear up) It's what hospitals use for poisonings/overdoses, etc. It will not take away the fever or aches and pains but will get rid of the nasty stuff in your intestines. I have kept this in my emergency medical kit for years. Also, if you feel that you are getting dehydrated, drink sports drinks, if you can tolerate them. You can make your own: 1 litre or quart boiled water, 1/4 tsp salt, 8 level tsp. sugar...this really helps replenish your system and helps stop diarrhea.
I know this doesn't make any sense but I recently tried it when I came down with the flu. Use a 1/4 tsp of baking soda to 16 ounces of water and drink every day. My son had the flu for 2 weeks...I only had it for a week and not as severe, because I did the above things. The baking soda helps nutralize the acids in your stomach and helps your system to be able to heal faster. It's amazing what we can do with the things in our kitchens.
I also used the Nyquil Liquid Caps and that helped a lot with the congestion...along with herbal teas/honey.
Hope this helps....

P.S. I am not a dr and this may not work for everyone!

Well, there are several who live in the Charlotte NC/Rock Hill SC area that would probably come if we could get it centrally located. Charlotte sounds good!!! We may even be able to celebrate the Panthers winning the Super Bowl! That would be sweet....
Keep us posted,
