  i'm still making my way through what is an excellent book by ron frye, former jw and c.o.

  i found one of his comments interesting.

  on page 68 he speaks affectionately of his wife mavis.... "i especially depended on her because she was observant and discerning.

  I knew of many elders that not only told their wives, but their good friends, like me, confidential information. I finally asked not to be told anymore...there were some sick things going on! I firmly believe that the main problem with confidential information leaking out was due not to elders wives, but to elders themselves. I couldn't believe how much they would divulge among the congregation members. (Let's don't put the blame on women here...men gossiped much more than any of my female friends, and they had a ton of stories to tell!)

  It must be "Global Warming"

  snow in malibu yesterday.

  .

  this morning i had to scrape the ice off my windshield and back window.. on the way to work i saw many a frozen front lawn and most cars were covered with ice like mine.. all on the outskirts of los angeles.. it must be "global warming".. warlock.

  The sun causing global warming is another debatable reason. It seems there may be some influence, but it seems most scientists agree it's not THE reason.

  all the planets are heating up

  Does it matter? We don't have to live on other planets, just Earth. We all need to be concerned about our home and keeping it clean and livable.

  If you want to ignore or excuse the changes we see taking place, that's your prerogative. Maybe God is warming up the entire Universe....there's enough theories to pick one, so go ahead and humor yourself. In the meantime, don't take it personally if others decide to be proactive in trying to lower temps. Life is too precious to just wait (until it's too late) and see.

  It looks like Chicago is going to the Super Bowl!!! I wish the announcers would stop criticizing Rex Grossman!!! He's not perfect (who is?) but he's doing a good job....
