  Bee Population

  has anyone heard about the new scare about the decline in the bee population?.

  i guess the bees are not returning to the queen bee and they are dying.

  trying to figure out why this is happening but if it doesn't turn around, all of us will be 'starving' in 4 years.

  Our bee hives still have bees!!! We've had them for years....

  As a precaution, I'm not allowing anyone to talk on cell-phones near them or use any pesticides!

  george dubya and his cronies have slammed the bill that would allow americans to purchase prescription drugs at a fraction of the astronomical price they are now forced to pay.

  "The potential threat to human health from contaminated pet food has now widened to include chickens, with U.S. health officials announcing that melamine-tainted pet product made its way into poultry feed at 38 Indiana farms."

  The agencies also warned that "as the investigation continues, additional farms will likely be identified that received contaminated feed."

  And then, as monkeys flew out their asses, they said that the threat to humans who ate the chicken and pork is low."

  (The government won't even let the American public know which meat is contaminated!!! We might as well be living in a Communist country!)

  I think I'd rather purchase my prescips from Canada!!!!!!!

  Not For The Squeamish......

  pack attacks gator in floridaat times nature can be cruel, but there is also a raw beauty, and even a certain justice manifested within that cruelty.the alligator, one of the oldest and ultimate predators, normally considered the apex predator, can still fall victim to the implemented team work strategy, made possible due to the tight knit social structure and survival of the pack mentality bred into the canines.see the remarkable photograph below courtesy of nature magazine.note that the alpha dog has a muzzle hold on the gator preventing it from breathing, while another dog has a hold on the tail to keep it from thrashing.the third dog attacks the soft underbelly of the gator.

  i am going to try to live without needing the board so much for awhile.

  the only reason i am saying anything is that i am horrible at sending pm's, emails, etc.

  and i dont want people to wonder in the back of their mind where i am, if all is ok.. i am tired all the time and i just want to see what my life can be like not in constant thought about the jw world running through my brain.. i will wonder how everyone is doing and would welcome emails.

  i'm a bit of a newbie here i suppose, but i've been fascinated by the photo threads that pop up now and then - notably leo's, purps and sparks.

  so i thought i'd do my bit for posterity and bring you some pics from the uk that i've taken over the last few years, if that's all right with you that is!.

  although i'm fully digital these days, my early work was film-based so, as a result of that training i tend to just use photoshop in the same way that i used to use my darkroom - ie.

  help....i am addicted to mulligatawny soup....it has knocked heinz tomato soup and even...even ...home made soup...(for the moment at least)for six....try and break my cult like feelings for mulligatawny and steer me onto another path of soupiness.....meanwhile i give you ..the one...the only.....mulligatawny soup...

  compact fluorescent lamp warning.

  there are probably alot of us using the small spiral shaped compact fluorescent lamps in our houses.

  i did not realize they have mercury in them and can be a bit of problem if one breaks.

  it is also illegal to dispose of them in our regular garbage cans.
