I just moved to AZ from Lititz (LittleTitz), PA... it is pretty there.... they have a tshirt there somewhere with roadsigns pointing to all those towns.

...with stops along the way in bird-in-hand and lancaster.. that's right.
today, i, my wife and my mother-in-law loaded ourselves into the car and drove down to pennsylvania dutch country, where we visited the towns of intercourse, paradise, and the others i mentioned.
we went to the mennonite information center, where we heard a lecture about the israelite tabernacle in the wilderness, enhanced by viewing an actual size model of the tabernacle.

i mean my bike!
what were you thinking?.
awhile back i posted about my radio-controlled motorcycle.
I was pleased to see You Know even comment in here, about the bike. Assuming he is/was a biker-type, he would understand some of my outlooks on things in life... attitude wise. Now, if he went from biker-type to JW-type, he at least has good memories to work with.
But then again, anyone can read a magazine and pick up on keywords. I dunno, I just like most bikes and bikers.

I built this from the parts I had.... I am one of the cheapest bastards around. The paint job is only enamal spray, we have some welding to do yet on it.
The tank was found in the pile of parts that came with it... old 60's tank, origional spider web paint.
These bars are what is considered "legal" in AZ... I have 18" apes ready to put on once I get it licensed.
Didnt know you knew bikes.... most likely, this will be built to stock next year, after I have some fun with it as is.
The engine is stroked out to 80 inches, and has never been on the street. When done, it will be fire engine red and the front tubes will be 6 inches longer. Goal now it to add brakes and get it licensed.

did anyone else have witness parents who the congregation thought were the "model" family, yet behind closed doors all hell broke loose?
i remember a time when my family was choosen to do a part at an assembly about the ideal family- yet behind the scenes, we were beat, yelled at, sworn at, never studied, had a family from hell, yet others always commented how "perfect" and christian our family was.
being a witness leaves deep & permanent scars.
Well.... is there a limit on the site for length of content?
Mom was in and out of JW's since my birth... but never involved us till 1968 when she thru out her live-in guy in exchange for a JW dude studying with her. He was a nice guy.... till he married her anyhow.
Mom would always hit us for punishment... with a belt, a wooden spoon.. anything she could get. That may have been the way they did it then, I dunno. With Brother Henry tho, he enjoyed dishing out punishment. Now, shortly after the wedding in '69, his ownership of us showed its ugly teeth.
Mom would leave us a note for after school, to go to the store and buy this or that. SHe always left enuff money so that there was change, and we would keep it... spend it on candy. This went on for years, till Mark moved in. I get back from the store, he asks where the change is. Assuming the best, I smile and said I spent it on candy. Instead of a smile and pat on the back, I pick myself up off the floor IN THE NEXT ROOM. I had been backhanded... and hard too. My sister saw this and freeked. Nothing was right from then on. My hate was planted and grew intensly.
Beatings with a belt were weekly at a minimum. There was always a reason for it.... or not. Didnt clean your room.... didnt take out the trash... back talked mom.... I dont know how many belts we went thru. It got to the point that it didnt hurt anymore, and until you cried out, he kept swinging. I would hold out to try and wear him out. Never happened.
We got a puppy once.. a german shepard .. my dog. I was about 14, I think. The dog had chewed a stick and it was caught between his teeth somehow and he was screaming. Mark grabbed it, punched it, and pulled the stick out. I missed the "pulling the stick out" part, after the punch, I walked into the garage and grabbed the axe, raised it high over my head, ...... but didnt do it. I walked back in and put it down. He never knew this, he was busy with the dog. I often wonder how life woulda been had I beheaded him.
I ran away at 15.... 6 or 7 times. All but one time I was beat badly after being caught. Mom just stood there and let it happen. I think I dislike her to this day due to that. I wasnt beat after the last time I ran away... cuz I didnt get caught. I kept running, ended up in prison at 16, and lied about who I was so I would stay in jail rather than go home. That should say something.
Mark was an elder thru all this, a hero to many. Mom was a dumb bitch that just wanted laid on a regular basis, no matter the cost. My sis was the one suffering, cuz she cared. I didnt care, I ran, I lived well.
Question for the ex-elders out there.. any of these posts interest you? ANy of them make you wonder how the hell you could support such assholes for so long? Any of you make amends for lives wasted due you all looking away? Ever visit the graves of lost kids due to suicide, in the JW's?
You JW lurkers out there... be aware that many of us have sincere hate for you and yours.... not all on this board do, just some of us. You only live life once, and when it is destroyed by an org and its blind followers, there is no forgiveness.

ps... I didnt check for typo's....
does anyone remember the news report about an old lady who was so fed up with the dubs coming to her door that she locked two of them up in her cellar?
the dubs were missing for some time before the other dubs who'd been in fs with them called the police who eventually found the ones in the cellar.. my question: shouldn't the dubs have gone to the elders instead of bringing the police into it?
that's how they handle other problems...
I did both tricks... pretending to knock and faking a ring of the doorbell.... this was when I was between the ages of 11 and 15.
BUT... the best one was taking out the Watchtower and Awake mags out before getting to the door and holding them in front of you so anyone looking knew who and what you were. How many times I saw people look and head away from the door. Hmmmm.... no one home... oh well!
I got busted doing that one tho...

i have been a bit out of touch with the news of late, but i just seen some footage of the huge fires in the states,i think awsome and terrible is the only way i can describe what i have just seen, the news said that a town of 30,000 is going to have to be evacuated,is this right?..
is anybody that posts on this site affected, although my heart goes out to everybody that has lost homes and even life.. i dont know what else to say.
I live 100 miles from the fires in Arizona.... it is not a good situation. There is much live tv and radio talking about it, if you are interested.... kfyi.com is on it almost 24 hours a day. Our weather is 110+ degrees here, and we havent had rain for months (like 8 months)... so it is worse than worse.

some of you know i was asked by friends to perform (officiate) thier wedding.
since it is a lawful but not legal wedding, i said sure.
we did this "pagan" wedding on june 21st in california.. i took my harley and my son drove our van, while the girls took turns riding with me.
Nothing feels better than good friends and a good ride....
