yesterday, while i was in sydney for the day with a friend (to have a break and do a girlie shopping day)..............i received a phone call from my brother to inform me that a very special cousin of mine in italy had committed suicide.

i was devastated, she was so special and we had been close.. so here i was driving back from sydney last night knowing a loved one was dead!

Bliss, I am angry and sad for you, for your loss and for having to see that sob that abused your child. I don't think I could have stopped myself from beating the hell out of him on sight.

Make that call to that elder and get in his face. I would.

I would find out where that bastard lives and post signs around his residense saying that he is a pedophile.

OK for JWs to vote?

what's the society's latest teaching on voting?

is it a "conscience" matter or is it still forbidden?

i got into a discussion with a jw on another board and she says it may be ok to go into voting booth to avoid danger but it 3was forbidden to actually vote for a candidate.

Like a lot of things; it all boils down to how strong your belief in God and the scriptures is. There are a lot of "grey" areas in the society that in all truth aren't grey areas at all. Strikes me it's pretty close to ear tickling.

I remember when I was a kid and I heard that term, "it's a grey area", and now unsettled it made me inside.

ok, i'm not one for conspiracy theories but lately i've uncovered some interesting facts that i think warrant some attention.. first of all, russell was a freemason.

all the early watchtower and books he authored have freemason symbology and art throughout them.

not a big deal i thought, until i read more about freemasons and the so-called "illuminati", a group of 13 families that supposedly control the world.. supposedly these 13 families, such as the duponts, mcdonalds, kennedys, .

On July 13th, 1985, a concert that spanned two continents took place. Called "Live Aid," it was the brainchild of Irish pop singer Bob Geldof, who organized the concert to raise money for the famine in Ethiopia.

Staged in Philadelphia and London, the sixteen-hour concert featured luminaries such as Sting, the Beach Boys, David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Elton John, Paul McCartney and many others.

Of all of the music presented at the festival, two songs were the most significant. "We Are the World," recorded by USA for Africa, and "Do they know it's Christmas, recorded by Band Aid, were written specifically to raise money for the famine. Many of the musicians featured at Live Aid took part in the recording of these two songs.

At last count, Live Aid raised an estimated $100 million to fight hunger in Ethiopia.
