The cleaning bug

i have a wife that literally cleans the house 24 7. it's hard on our marriage, our son has no natural affection for her.

if we go to an assembly she literally spends two days waxing and polishing the car.

she hand washes all the clothes before go into the washing machine because no machine could ever do as good a job as her.

Great Tribulation and Trump

please, let's discuss this subject without attacking one another.. it appears that trump has won a victory that no one expected.

is it possible that trump may play a part in the great tribulation?.

there are some who believe trump is one of the most unqualified of men to ever be elected president of the united states.

Those of you saying there is no god or divine being, no messiah, no tribulation, no new system to come are far too sure of yourselves. You don't know any more than those who are certain that those things exist. They may not be able to back their beliefs with hard evidence, but you can't either. NEVER be sure of anything you can't prove.

For the record, I am an agnostic. I don't believe 100% in anything that hasn't proven itself to me. I don't even have the crutch of blind faith to lean on. If you say there is no God, I will argue that there might be. If you insist there is a God, I will argue that there may not be. Kindly do not assume your point of view is the only correct one to have. The Watchtower does this same exact thing and you condemn them for it. Please don't be hypocrites.

And as you can see, there are several people here who hate rant posts like the one you've started here, and if some of them had their way, you would not have the freedom to post a rant. Please remember that when you see posts you don't want to see.

Trick or Treat, tells you where my head is at

i always have a nice bowl of candy ready for trick or treat, we don't get many so you usually have a short conversation with the parents.

so a mom & 3 kids come and the two boys were dressed in suit and ties!

i am laughing because my first thought was they were dressed as jw's!

due to the fact there are about 27,000 members of this religion that are known pedophiles, and the information about it is kept in a secret database file, i wonder how many lurking jw's as well as others are aware of the severity of this problem?

remember, it's 27,000 pedophiles that they know about.

Tami - Forgive me for asking, but your mother never abused you? It just seems odd that a person would not molest their children, but would willingly do so to their grandchildren. In all the cases I've ever heard of, they may favor certain kids, but not just suddenly become molesters when their children have children. I am not saying it doesn't happen; I've heard of those who harm their nieces and nephews, or other people's children, but never their own. Were there any signs when you were growing up that your mother was or would become abusive in any way? It's sickening and unfathomable that she would treat you well, but not your children. :(

JW Facebook Groups

is anyone here familiar with the facebook group "jehovah's people: enduring these last days together"?

it's a closed group, so obviously you need to be a member in order to access any info or posts.

my anointed roommate is really frustrated because she's an admin and someone is taking miscellaneous posts from the group and posting it on their own page, which has the exact same name, minus the word "together.

As I already explained, she is frustrated because someone is taking posts from the group without permission and posting them on a mock-JW group that also features pornographic content. If they weren't clearly "apostates," I'm sure she wouldn't mind at all. :p

JW's and the forgotten Jesus

so as i have been waking up more and more over the past 3 years...i keep telling myself i'm fully awake and then i wake up more, but that's a different thread.

but anyway, i've noticed a lot lately that the wt does not mention jesus or christ very much in their literature and neither to jw's in their conversations.

they mainly talk about jehovah.
