there have been many but i had a total melt down at the end of sophie's choice.
i hadn't cried in years before i saw that movie in in 1982. i was still very much a jw at the time.
i have no idea where the pain and sorrow came from, maybe it was the fact there are things people have gone through that we have defied all reason logic.
the other day i heard my anointed roommate on the phone, discussing something called the "second sealing".
i heard her say that most anointed people only receive it shortly before death, if they receive it at all.
she went on to say that she has been hearing about several other anointed people receiving theirs recently and not dying afterward.

As I understand it, the second sealing is supposed to be confirmation that an anointed person has proven themselves worthy and will be going to heaven for sure. My roommate sees the sudden increase in second sealings as (further) evidence that the Big A is nearly upon us.
I have never heard of the second sealing before I overheard her conversation, so my question is, what does everyone here know about it? And have you also heard anything about this lately?

i was wondering about the above , if a jw is allowed to remarry if a spouse has died, then what happens when they are resurrected at armageddon, do u land up with two wives/husbands ,,,,,,, makes no sense to me & can the jw's be so dumb not to think about this or have i got it wrong ?

i recently had to take a trip with my family to bethel.
it was a bit torturous for a secret apostate as you can imagine.
but mostly just so boring.
My JW roommate and I were just discussing some sweepstakes the other day that offered a prize vacation to anywhere in the US the winner wants to go, and she said if she could go anywhere, it would be to Warwick so she could visit Bethel.
Why do these people always equate a trip to Bethel to a pilgrimage to the Holy Land? I mean, I get that that's pretty much how they see it, but how do they NOT see that it is a blatant example of idolatry? -_-

i'm being serious, i would like to hear from folks here that support him describe to me how that news conference was absolute brilliance, he answered all the questions, he knows what he is talking about.

I literally cannot even begin to understand why anyone who is not an absolute ignorant bigot could possibly support him. Why do you people willingly turn a blind eye to all of his childish Twitter rants and victim blaming and racist/sexist remarks and detrimental executive orders if you're not as full of hate as he is?
Name ONE thing he has actually done (not promised to do but has DONE) that outweighs all of the horrible, despicable, embarrassingly immature things he has said since the campaign trail. You can't, because there is NOTHING that excuses such a blatantly awful human being. Why can't you tRump supporters just admit you're on the wrong side of history and bow out with a modicum of grace?
Seriously, if he's so damn great, then by your own standards, you should have liked every single other president, even Obama. After all, you're so willing to forgive tons of awful things in favor of what? tRump saying or doing ONE little thing that you agree with? Then why do you bash Obama, or the Bushes, or Clinton? Each of them has done at least one good thing, and they all have the added bonus of NOT being nearly as deplorable as tRump.

And why on earth would anyone downvote my question? That is so rude and counterproductive. I just wanted a simple answer. I don't understand why some people here are so mean-spirited. I have never once downvoted anyone on this site, with the sole exception of that one jerk who verbally assaulted everyone who tried to reason with him before he was banned last year.

Why did 3 people downvote Doubter? His comment was not controversial at all and he backed it up with solid proof that the UN's library is not, in fact, open to the public. What the heck is your problem, people?
