i know the traditional view of some religions is that they are 144,000 literal jews who will convert near the gt to witness to the jewish population.

There is no more governing body anymore. They retired then changed the definition to any anoited at the head quarters. They are mascots. The great crowd are now in charge.

On this I seem to remember being told as a child at the memorial that some who partake are not part of the anointed and they would be dealt with harshly by Jah. It's been so long and my memory fails me but I do believe there is scripture to back this up but can't say for sure.
Their is no scripture, but that is what they teach, or I should say imply.

Pole the watchtower has not been ran by the fds since 2000. FDS is a brand name.

Actually because many JW women are married to non jws birthdays and xmas are sorta not on the elders radar. The watchtower likes to promote husbandly subjection and tells them they may prepare xmas diners (I assume b-day cakes) by holiday supplies what ever their husband tells them too. THen when the festivities start act like a recluse. Remember these are all conscience matters. JWs cant do interfaith so the elders could consider this interfaith. THe odd thing is it is hard to do so because many faiths celebrate xmas and bdays.
From what I have seen many JWs go over their wordly relatives houses on holidays. I assume you are fine as long as you dont bring or accept a gift. At least around here. Infact to tell the truth I think it is the gift giving that pisses the WT off. Because I know of too many JWs that celebrate stuff but don't give gifts or decorations and the brothers do nothing. Well thats not true. They give early or late gifts. It varies. Like I know an elder whos self employed and sends out gift baskets in november/december. Even though he sends it with a card explaining it is not an Xmas gift. JWs are so legalistic. It is funny.
among dubs who are true believers(tm) they will readily admit that their religious leaders have "made mistakes.
" few of them however, will admit that their leaders are intentional and calculating liars, dirty rotten lying liars who lie in order to blind their flock and to conceal their own dirty laundary and miserable failures in both doctrine and policy.
i'll give but one example.
The watchtower uses the stalinist system to prosper. They need purges much like a forest needs a fire. They dangle two carrots the paradise and the door.
The new person sells books in a fervor and then finds a replacement. THe new person becomes Jaded and less productive. They constant doctrine change erodes faith in the leader ship. The constant catalog of all the elders pregnant teens that get dfed in their area. They know too much about the system. The know it is not prestine anymore. They have to be gotten rid of because if the will spoil the new converts. Tell them to kick back and exploit the autocracy. So they make these eddict of work more do more they tie up all your time to force you to leave the org. The people left have to work harder to make up for the loss plus it keeps them on their toes.
I mean I ask people that fade I ask them what did they do ay different? "well I dont go to the meetings or feild service." and I am like "so?" how did that make them "leave". If a marine leaves the corp they are still a marine. THe whole JW system shorts out if you dont participate to further the watchtowers interest yet still reap the benifits of JW association. If jws made jwism their personal religion they practiced at home the halls would really be stressed.

I should have said Saul was a dectective and secularist. That is if you believe he actually found and aprehinded as many christians as the christians claim. And he did know his rights as a roman and the laws of the Jews.

Considereding that the anointed JWs are christians and the rest of JWs are not the anointed JW is correct.It is not the fact you are part of a numbers groupd that makes them special it is the fact that they are christians and the rest of the JWs are not.

Paul was a detective. A secularist. If there was a law some people had some place he assumed as a christian you had to follow it. Many of the things paul said was not his oppinion perse but the solution to solve a problem. He did not really ponder much on ideals just solutions. Most of the sins paul added were customs or laws paraphrased into an abriviated form. As times passed on these laws were lost in the sands of times and christianity began to interpet them as Gods laws. Remember these scriptures were not made for posterity. They were letters mailed to people guiding them on how to exist in the acient Roman world. These people had no idea their words would become the bible. Infact I would assume some would be offended that their words as vernerated as holy.
Many of the things considering the only people that had female preist were pagans I see why the christians would be different. Take note the christian view of women were much more forward thinking than the roman way. I am sure the average christian was hard pressed to exist back then. In a weird halo between the Jews and gentiles. THe romans would let you believe anything but their laws conflicted with your belief. The Jews would not let you believe in christ but their laws did not conflict with your religion as much.

I was going to put that in my example psychology vs nurology. The think is psychology has yeilded techniques that work for some people.Evolution is a origins theory that out side of a petri dish can't explain much of anything in real time.
