but i decided to tackle it a little differently than my polls.
Yes, and the exchange of information is also useful in getting to know people.
Another avenue is music and art. Even if you have to participate as a student. Then there's usually groups you can join to help at concerts and art shows if you aren't artistically inclined.

Gardening is a wonderful way to meet people and make friends. For one thing, if you live in a town, you're outside for your neighbours to see. And then you have things to share. Vegetables, fruit, perennials, preserves, etc.

some of you sisters were so adept at going out in service, that it seemed as if you really didn't need a brother, who was willing to take the lead.
many of you were already well suited in marking out and mapping out the territory, and sometimes big brother such and such, who just happened to be newly baptised, but is now in a position to serve shows up and begins to make himself feel useful.
i mean, this is how the climbing up the ladder begins for us brothers, isn't it?.
Oh yes, the old Adam and Eve story. You know, it's funny how they can make that story support male headship. If it was a true story then it would show why men are unfit to lead. They're obviously born followers. Even though he wasn't fooled, he went along with it anyway.

had a fantastic time, couldnt have asked for better weather...forecast said it was going to rain it was hot and sunny right up until we went inside for the reception then a brief shower or too so that was fantastic.. ceremony was over before i knew it, went without a hitch.. reception and photos both great fun.. pretty buggered now hehehehe.. the next few photos are of us in the morning unfort as yet i have none of the ceremony but will pass them on if anyone wants to see.

Yes, those concluding prayers at the conventions!!!! Ugh. That sure brought back memories. I used to always complain (just to my husband, of course). Did they think that God has a poor memory? Or maybe he was just extra sinful and needed a bit more prompting!

If he was a normal, thinking human being then it was good to have another able-bodied hand on deck. But if he was a typical male JW, then he was just an ineffective nuisance. Actually, the gender didn't make any difference to me. It was the attitude. An idiot is an idiot, male or female.
I have to say that I never felt inconvienced by the lack of male headship. I don't recall anyone else missing it either. In fact, one month that I pioneered I didn't even have a "field service meeting" to go to. Nor did I have a car group to join. Just me, on foot, with my book bag.

it is with little or no regret that i have found it necessary to disfellowship the watchtower bible and tract society in order to protect my good name.
after unrepentantly fornicating with the scarlet coloured wild beast for 10 years and having been exposed by a worldly organization, i have not been able to find any note of contrition or shame.plenty of time has been allowed for an apology but nothing has been forthcoming.indeed, minimising the sin indicates a haughty attitude.
i,for my part,will forever be ashamed of my association with wtbs.i apologise to bible students i've had and the fear i have displayed in saying nothing for 24 years.
