I've never actually toured any of the WTS factories. But I got that feeling you describe from someone's "glowing report" of what living at Bethel was like. He was trying to entice us to join up and go live at the place. Instead, it gave me the creeps. I knew I'd never last in that environment. I'd tell someone where to shove it before the first week was up.

Australian Bethel Visit - I have to get this off my chest
by wozadummy ini was baptized in adelaide south australia in 1983 and around this time my first wife and i , along with our small children decided to go to the bethel in sydney new south wales as part of our holiday one summer.
we camped along the way as we travelled the coast road from adelaide and had a really interesting time and when we got to sydney we decided to stay at a caravan camping ground right near bethel ,so we did not have to travell far the next day for our visit there.. when we pulled in to the park and went to register at the office the two people in charge seemed to be very strained and distant when we spoke to them .we setup our tent and unpacked to settle in for dinner and on the way to the shower block i spoke to someone there for a few minutes and remarked that the people who ran this park did'nt seem too freindly.
he then pointed out why, that day a man had killed one of his family and everyone felt nervous and upset because of this .. of course i jumped into witness mode as i was full of "the spirit" not being long baptised ,but just got a blank stare and i knew i should not persue this any more - i feel so stupid now but i'm sure some here can relate to this blind faith enthusiasm as a chance to witness to the great god of the printing presses and think we can help heal all the troubles of the world!.

I'm new....and I have a rant
by Faded-out inok, i apologize for this impromptu introduction/rant, but i am reeling right now and really have no where elso to turn.. let me start off by giving you a little history of what has gotten me to this point.
this post might be a little long, so you might want to dust off those .
reading glasses.. anyways, my parents were baptised as dubs in the pre 1975 frenzy to make it to the new system...if they only knew 30 some odd years later...suprise, we are .

That's great that you were able to talk to her. I'm sure it will help her tremendously.

Do you belive you are anointed?
by unbaptized inif you believe you are anointed, please give the details on how you came to this conclusion.
this is not a judgemental post, so all those with negative comments please keep them to yourself.
this is a quest for facts and answers, nothing more.

Do you mean, "did you feel you were anointed while you were a JW?" Because, as greendawn says, the question is rather pointless outside JW dogma.

i'm in shock!
by Sunnygal41 inafter 13 years with the same car, at the beginning the week i became the proud owner of a 2002 chrysler pt cruiser!
she is the most beautiful car i've ever owned............she's candy apple red, with leather seats that are heated, sun/moon roof, chrome wheels.
when i picked her up from the dealer, i didn't even feel like i should own this car, as she is more gorgeous than i could ever imagine..........anyways, i had to share my deep thanks to the universe with y'all............i am deeply happy to have a reliable, warm, safe, but absolutely gorgeous, car to drive.........perhaps it's also partly because i will be 50 years old in august............another wonderful milestone in my life......... smooches,.

Greendawn, No! You don't warm up after walking 10 minutes. You're feet and hands begin to lose feeling. You're nostrils freeze up and you don't dare expose your teeth when you talk. Because they'll freeze too.

My Music is Up Again
by Farkel ini know this part of jw.com is about 'friends" and i also know that i don't have any, or very few of them.
the friends i do have are awesome, and the friends i don't have don't know what they are missing!.
that being said, several human beings have asked me to provide them access to some of the music i have recorded in the last few years.. since i happen to be working on a website that i can get access to, i uploaded some of my stuff there.

Danse macabre is wonderful! I haven't listened to any other ones yet though. It took me about 30 minutes to download that one. I look forward to hearing them.
Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
