You have my complete sympathy.
I thought I was getting a cold or the flu. But it didn't quite progress like it should have, so on Wed. I had it checked out and I have strep throat. I guess one of the patients that coughed on me must have had it. Otherwise, I don't know how I got it.
Anyway, like you, I'm completely miserable.

I finally Left!
by The Doc 58 ini would like to give the full details of my leaving the jw's, but i don't have a lot of time at this moment.
basically i was raised in the organization and it drove me pretty insane bacause my father was an elder, mother a pioneer, sister a bethelite, etc.
so, i did the whole thing for a long time.

We've just come in from watching it. Great pics, leo. The sky here is perfectly clear, we have a lovely view. Unfortunately, we have to go outside to see the moon (no window on that side of the house) and it's -27 out there.

Vol 1 & 2, Insight on the Scriptures -- when available?
by Fatfreek inplease bear with me on this question as i made my exit long ago.
i see that the september, 1988 kingdom ministry announced the insight on the scriptures volumes as "new publications available".
is it possible that they were made available, perhaps in limited quantities, during the divine justice summer conventions, which began june 16-19 of that year?.

Here in Canada, the "Insight on the Scriptures" volumes were released at the "Divine Justice" D.C. in 1988.

Back in the 80's Canada had a 96 year old regular pioneer who was held up for our shame. Her name was Grace so from the platform she was called "Amazing Grace". Just before we quit, we found out that the older pioneers aren't required to make their time. It's an honorary title. She really only needed to get in one hour a month.

Yes.
I'm sorry to hear you're having troubles with your Mom. I think therapy might be a good idea.

10 000 steps a day CRAP.
by hamsterbait inso i decided to lose weight.. i reckoned that half an hours workout with weights a couple of times a week, plus swimming three times a week was a balanced schedule.. butnoooo - this is not good enough.
we should be walking 10 000 steps a day.. do you realize how much time that will take?
even at one step every second, you are talking about walking for two hours!!!

Where the 10,000 steps comes in is - that's what it takes to lose one pound.
By the way, you guys are hilarious.
