i am not a jw.
i have never been a jw.
i tripped over this forum whilst participating in a little harmless internet forum raiding.. i am a 48 year old man with a wealth of life experience who married a much younger woman who had been raised in a formerly devout but now mostly non-meeting attending jw family.. i have a couple of tertiary degrees in engineering and some undergraduate credits in psychology.
Welcome to the board, TwoBlackBelts. It sounds like you're going to be a good addition here.

first i went to the blood center and gave blood.
i got the "i gave" sticker.
i also wore my cross necklace and walked in the doors speaking to everyone like i never left.
Renee,
Welcome to the board. I loved your Memorial experience!
I'm sorry to hear about what you went through in the past. Hopefully it's all behind you now.

hi my name is lillian and i am posting for my first time.
i was a witness along with my husband and two children for 12 years and gave in my letter of disasociation about a year and a half ago.
i have struggled with the guilt of bringing my family in contact with the witnesses (i have always been a bible searcher) and i am only coming to terms with this recently.. i now consider myself a born again believer in christ jesus and read my bible daily to check and see what is true.
Welcome to the board, Lovelylil. I'm glad you and your family found freedom.

i was raised in the jw cult from birth until i left when i was 18(i am now 34).
i hated it from the beginning, but because my mom was so strict, there was nothing i could do about it.
(my dad didn't belong to the jws but i didn't get much sympathy or support from him - he didn't want to "rock the boat".
Hi, welcome to the board. I know what you mean. I want nothing to do with organized religion. But, I don't feel guilty for not going.

i almost got the report on the remnant done.
it is entirely done in microsoft excel.. what i need now is information on how to upload an excel file seems i'm always 10 years behind on the computer literacy thing.
what is you folks thought on this?
I have no idea. But I thought I'd bring this up to the top for you. Maybe someone who's more computer literate will see it and help you.

Hi Cosmonaut. Welcome to the board.

i see a lot of talk on this site about all the money wt is making or trying to save.
is there evidence that the governing body or other higher ups are being enriched financially?
i've never heard of anyone getting paid anything for their work within the organization.
There seems to be alot of rich "brothers" who do "business" with the WTS.
